The Dr is completely amazing and made me feel comfortable and eased my anxiety about what I am dealing with I have almost perfect vision in my left eye and look forward to her doing surgery on my right eye her secretary Jackie is very compassionate and makes sure you get everything you need and makes sure your comfortable with anything checks in with you before and after surgery and has the warmest personality Jason on of the techs is very professional and warm Jess is very informative and explains what the pictures are for and makes you comfortable as well Dr Schaals office is the best eye clinic i have ever gone to and I look forward to going instead of once dreading before

I unreservedly recommend Dr. Shlomit Schall as an outstanding healer, physician and surgeon. I performed extensive research to find the correct provider to treat my torn retina and perform a vitrectomy to remove contamination in my vitreous fluid that was impairing my vision. I found Shlomit to be extremely knowledgeable but also able to discuss concerns in plain language. She has amazing energy and enthusiasm tempered with strong ethics and genuine concern for her patients. I am about to have my annual follow up after my procedure and am extremely happy with her and her wonderful staff. I recommend Dr. Shlomit Schall without reservation.

I am a mono-ocular, high myopia, post retinal detachment patient so I am understandably very anxious about my vision. I just moved to Worcester and I was told Dr. Schaal was the best retina specialist. I had to wait a few months to get an appointment but I was not disappointed. She was very pleasant, empathetic and quite patient. Also, she explained all she was doing and involved me in decision making about the care of my vision. I left her office very pleased and satisfied.

I'd my photocoagulation laser procedure done by Dr. S. Schaal, MD, PhD, in UMMC Hahnemann Campus. As I'd 3 retina tears in one eye (rarely the case), Dr. Schaal had to spend more time to repair them. Her professionalism in the field, attentiveness, conscientious and profound technical skills have earned her some Appreciation Rewards. Jason, a kind, professional & efficient OA, is familiar with some Chinese language that helps in eye exams of the elders while Katlyn is the imaging expertise.

I cannot explain in words what Dr. Schaal means to my family and I. Often when I visit other specialists for different conditions they have a I am better than any other Dr. attitude, NOT Dr. Schaal she is the most professional, friendly Dr. I have ever encountered and UMASS should be proud to have her as a part of their team. She is awesome ! I would recommend her to anyone that needs what her specialty includes. I am a lucky one who has her as a patient.

Superior skills and patient interaction. She informed me every step along the way in appointments, pre op and post op meetings. She is personally invested in her patients. This in addition to being most highly respected in her field. Her staff in the office and operating area are superb. Always feel like I am the only patient they have.

As the relatively new chair of the department, under her direction she has upgraded the technology to state of the art equipment. It is both amazing and efficient. My appointment took less than half the time it used to take for the same examination and is more patient information oriented.

Dr. Schaal was courteous and professional. She explained everything clearly and took time to answer our questions. She made us feel at ease in a stressful situation. I would highly recommend her and her office.

My wife suffered a seizure January 10, 2017. After brain surgery and 34 radiation treatments, she was experiencing some fuzziness in her left eye. Dr. Schaal was recommended by Dr. Thomas Fitzgerald, oncology at UMASS Hospital. Multiple tests were done and the results were reviewed by Dr. Schaal. The doctor took plenty of time to review and explain all the issues, and assure Marie that there were no lasting ill effects from the surgery. She is blessed with a fabulous and endearing personality

Dr. Schaal is a top-notch ophthalmologist. Her office uses cutting edge equipment/technology for testing/treatment. She is up-to-date on the latest developments in her field and is very kind. Techs Jason and Katlyn are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Dr. Schaal is wonderful. Vey knowledgeable. The Optic Center in Worcester, MA is second to none.
