Excellent surgeon - would recommend to anyone!

I have been a patient of Dr.Uppal since 2019. At the time I was diagnosed it was determined I had Stage 4 metastic cancer of an uncommon form. I had 6 tumors in my abdomen and a tumor on my spine. I became a patient of Dr. Uppal after the diagnosis. Dr. Uppal immediately prepared an aggressive treatment plan for me in coordination with the Michigan Medicine team of radiation oncology (Dr. Jolli) and the infusion chemotherapy center. The communication that Dr Uppal maintained with all the different departments was exceptional. All the staff at UofM Michigan Medicine have been amazing. Dr Uppal first and foremost but also from the nurses at Rogel Cancer Center, Radiation Oncology, chemotherapy infusion center, the Medical Assistants to the receptionists and the entire tumor board. No. Right before surgery I asked if my vagina would be involved with the surgery and Dr Uppal said no. After surgery I suffered nerve damage and it took me a long time to realize much of the nerve pain and repeatedly waking up at night in pain was stemming from the feeling that I was raped during surgery. I had 4 instruments inserted into my vagina during surgery and one remained inside me for much of the surgery. There was no disclosure on my consent form of any vagina penetration other than a possible non-med student pelvic exam. In my opinion Dr Uppal deliberately did not tell me about the vaginal penetration and he has caused me mental and physical pain because of his deliberate deception.
