Dr. Shirley Jean-Baptiste, MD

I gave Dr Baptiste 3 chances. Each visit she was at least 40 minutes late. She is very condescending in her bedside manner. Her staff was helpful and polite, but I felt they too were not comfortable with her. I have never left a negative review for a doctor. I’ve heard good things about Pinnacle, but unfortunately she is not one of them.

Felt so extremely rushed out of my appointment by the Doc, I cannot express this enough. If the appointments are suppose to be 15 minutes, maybe got half that. Told I had too many skin concerns for one visit, said I would have to make two appointments for my visit as put a number on the amount of concerns, I was allowed per visit?? Or other option would be full skin check appointment twice a year. Meanwhile I waited so long to get a room, seems they are overbooking, or triple booking or something, to have to wait that long. Didn't feel everything was addressed that I had concerns about, and left feeling Doc too busy to help me. I need to feel my Doc cares.

I have seen her annually for the last 5-6 years. She is professional, thorough and efficient. Same goes for staff. I have no hesitation recommending her to friends and family.

felt rushed, she only took 15 minutes for body scan and questions, ignored most of my questions and was abrupt. I felt like I was on a very limited visit, again I felt rushed and I annoyed her when I asked a question

My experience with Dr. Jean-Baptiste was great. She was very professional and knowledgeable. Easy to talk to and did a great job of explaining and treating my dermatology needs. I was very satisfied with the results of her treatment. Dr. Jean Baptiste and her assistant Christi are highly recommended by me.

I went to see Dr Baptiste for a small mole removal that interfered with wearing a bra. This was NOT a cosmetic procedure. She used liquid nitrogen and froze the mole.The procedure was less than 1 minute. My bill was over $700.00! Even after my insurance [BlueCross/BlueShield] my bill was $274.46. Totally an insane amount to be charged! Please ask what your bill might be before you see this doctor.

She tried to help me, but her knowledge of mites/scabies, as far as I'm concerned, is very,very,limited. It was a waste of time, both her's & mine. She was of no help to me.

Highly skilled and efficient doctor. I know when I see her to have a mole removed, it will be done quickly yet skillfully, it will be properly analyzed, and Dr. Baptiste will clearly explain the results that same day or at the follow-up visit. She always assures me I have 24-hour access to medical help through her office if I need it. I am very lucky I found this doctor for my dermatology needs.

Dr. Baptiste is skilled, compassionate and wonderful! She is excellent at her job. I highly recommend her services. She quickly and efficiently diagnosed my condition and treated it effectively. Dr. Sharon

Condescending and arrogant to both myself and her staff. Terrible bedside manner.

Dr. Baptiste is an excellent dermatologist. She performs an excellent evaluation of your skin and was in my case able to identify skin cancer. She effectively found and treated the skin cancer. She is excellent at explaining what she is recommending and what she is doing with regard to treatment of diagnosed findings/disease. I would recommend Dr. Baptiste to anyone who needs to see an effective, competent and professional dermatologist.

I wish I can give zero stars. She was very rude during several visits. She made me wait an hour each time. She prescribed an medication that had a burning sensation without telling me that it needed to be used with a special moisturiser. Figured that out later after my skin was burning and itching that I went back and saw another doctor. I don't think she wants any patients and is doing this on purpose.

The worst! She covered my 7 year old daughters bottom and legs with horrific blisters. She treated her molescum with an acid and burned over 30 spots on her. She was covered in blister, had extreme pain and had to be treated with pain medication. She misses a week of school and this woman had NO remorse. It was the first time I was disappointed by a medical doctor. Please, do not see her.

Dr. Jean-Baptiste was the rudest doctor I have ever met. She mentioned to me that I seemed very particular on what I expected the outcome to be (NOT HAVE A SCAR) and her recommendation was that I try at home remedies instead, after paying for 3 visits ( $120 worth of co-pays) of course. She also told me that she wished she had such minimal problems like me.. very rude and dismissive. She seems to take the easy route in order for me to have to return again and get "checked up" NEVER GOING BACK!

I highly recommend Dr. Jean-Baptiste. Dr. Jean Baptiste is very knowledgeable and communicates easily with me as a patient. She asked if I had any concerns -- and reassured me and answered my questions. I was very satisfied with the care that was provided by Dr. Jean Baptiste and her assistant.
