Unable to see the doctor I made appointment with
After several weeks of research, I made an appointment on February 22, 2024 to be seen by Dr. Harris. I received several reminder texts and emails leading up to my appointment. On the day of my appointment (March 26, 2024) I was told Dr. Harris was very busy and I could see a PA or reschedule. I'm opting to find a new doctor. I didn't research her PAs. My first appointment being pawned off is not a good sign. In all the reminder messages one didn't think to check the calendar to avoid overbooking the doctor? I took off work, missed out on a travel opportunity, and still don't have a doctor. Disappointing experience.

As a physician Dr. Harris is very good! But try calling her office, you only get a recorded message and you have to call back 3-5 times to get a return call. The office staff performance needs to be checked and monitored. Policy and procedures for staff do not appear to be in place. Even if they are in place and I am sure that they are, someone has to monitor to assure that they are being followed.

it’s always hard to make time for my own care but when it was time for testing Dr. Harris was attentive and professional during my outpatient visit I appreciate her professionalism and office staff. I would highly recommend her services

Having a colonoscopy is a necessary evil but Dr. Harris and her staff did everything possible to make it as easy as could be. They were friendly but professional. All my questions were answered and I never felt rushed. I definitely felt like I was important.

I don’t think anyone really wants to get a colonoscopy. I was nervous because I have myasthenia gravis. I needed to make sure Dr. Harris, her nurse, and anesthesiologist were knowledgable about MG before I would agree to have it done. All three were open to reading the MG materials about what drugs would cause a MG crisis with out making me feel like I was bothering them. I felt really cared for by everyone I interacted with. I'm very pleased with the level of service provided from this office.

I first saw Dr. Harris when I was in the hospital. She was the only doctor who took my stomach pain seriously. I got discharged & still did not feel well. I contacted Dr. Harris & explained I didn't have ANY insurance & very little money to pay after that hospital visit. She had me come to her office ASAP. She did 2 procedures on me & did lab work. She did not charge me penny!! I AM EXTREMELY THANKFUL FOR HER KINDNESS. Most doctors only care about money HOWEVER Dr. Harris cared about ME!!

I had an endoscopy with Dr. Harris. Everything went fine until I received my bills for the procedure. First they overcharged me hundreds of dollars, then they failed to tell me that the anesthesiologist was out of network. So I received a bill for over $3000 from Matilda Besong's office. I've spent months going back and forth with my insurance company, stressing out over the fact that I may have to pay thousands of dollars for a procedure I didn't need. Will NEVER go back here.

This practice is all about money. If you have insurance and can pay your treatment will be coded so the highest co-pay is billed. My insurance company explained why I pay so much for treatment. When my test results were improved (doctor's words), she seemed disappointed. I guess getting better means less visits and less money for the practice. Don't expect any lifestyle change advice, this practice only pushes medications/pills. Lastly, the main receptionist is always rude.
