'Dr. Knight-MARE'!!!!!!!!!!
WOW, well my review kept being too long, and so I wasn't going to leave one, but after reading these other reviews, I have to leave the shortened version, mainly because I am glad to see I am not the only one who left that women's office feeling like I had entered the Twilight Zone. I don't know how she is a 'doctor'! She is aggressive, ill-mannered, and unprofessional! She would not focus on the reason I was there, instead, she argued about why I drove an hour to Dayton rather than an hour and a half to Cincinnati, I live in between. She lectured and judged me about moving out of my mother's home when I was 16..I am now 40 years old with my own 3 children and husband of 20 years! I don't know how this woman has a license! TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, AND SHOULD BE BANNED FROM PRACTICING!

Therapy Appointment
This place is dirty, disorganized, and disrespectful. Do NOT go here Dr. Knight is rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and aggressive. She cared more about telling me how to run my life without any resources on how to change it rather than what my appointment was really for. I came here to be assessed for ADHD and Autism and the doctor turned the appointment into an argument about whether or not a resident on the lease in the home I live in, should also live there. If you actually want help from a professional in mental health this is the last place you should make an appointment.

Review June 2024
My care was transferred to Dr. Knight because my prior doctor moved to a different city. I am on a controlled medication and she honestly made me feel like she wouldn't refill it for me because SHE DIDN'T LIKE ME. She talked over me, gaslit me, tried to make me feel inferior, argued with MY OPINIONS and I waited no less than 45 minutes for each appointment. I finally asked my family doctor to write my prescription so I don't have go see Dr. Knight again. She's a really confused, mean, and nasty woman who is incredibly insecure and rude. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!!!

She just recently changed her hours to just Saturday's and I'm pretty sure just one or two Saturdays a month. My sister went into labor late friday night and ended up delivering the saturday afternoon of my appointment so of course I called and had to cancel. Her next appointment available was in march and my original appointment was in mid January. She wouldn't write me new scripts even though I have been on maintenance meds for over a year. She makes you feel so small, talks over you, has zero respect for you, just over all extremely rude and inconsiderate throughout the duration of the appointment. This woman has asked me during every single appointment if she's received the results of an EKG from my cardiologist from over a year ago. and I say every time, "yes you received those results about a year ago, and everything was fine". She lacks everything a professional should be composed of and is downright nasty to her patients. It's beyond me how she still has her license.

I had my first appointment with Mrs. Knight today and it went great. I was worried after reading some of the reviews but after meeting with her, I just can't imagine not liking her. She is very down to earth and did not make me feel uncomfortable at all. ( which is rare for me and doctors). She was not pushy AT ALL. I spent about 45 minutes with her. Highly recommend!

Left shaking and in tears while my Husband (the patient) had a manic episode due to the degrading and horrible treatment received by Dr. Shirlann Knight. The purpose of the new patient visit was to transfer his care from the Henderson mental health center in Florida to the Dayton Ohio area for continuation if care. Please don’t go there, you will regret it. Take the time to look at the numerous online reviews all point to sheer incompetence.

Unprofessional, dishonest and uninformed. The typical wait time for an appointment is 30 minutes to 2 hours. I saw Ms. Knight twice a month for 3 months and then monthly for the past year. I Never waited less than 30 minutes and most of the visits it was over an hour wait. She spends very little time with you and doesn't listen. She confused me with another patient and tried to write me a prescription for that patient. Then she got angry with me when I told her that wasn't my chart.

Office waits were always at least 2 hours long for the 2 years I saw Dr. Knight. She over schedules and then spends 5 to 10 minutes with you. She does not listen, she is very arrogant. She uses her own personal opinions rather than factual medical information. Her office lost my chart twice ,both times I had to start as a "new patient" to her she had no recollection of me even though I have seen her monthly for over 2 years. She would ask me about the care she gave and then would get angry with

I wish I had read reviews on this Dr before allowing her to treat my daughter. Unfortunately with the shortage of psychiatrists, patients (even with good health insurance) have little to no choice. Dr. Night was unprofessional, rude, barely listened to what we said and even went as far as to not allow me to speak when I tried to explain my concern for my daughter's medication. Needless to say, I ended the appointment and left. I hope others read this and have a choice other than her.

Doesn't open your file until the appt starts, because she has so many patients in the same time slot (once one of 4 people scheduled for an 845 appt; she didn't arrive until just after 9am. I've also seen her come in after 9 when I've had early appts. Regularly wait at least 1 hour for a 5 min session. Seems somewhat friendly, but isn't very personable in general. Twice I've had problems with meds, and it took 3 days/1.5wk to get a msg to the office (phones go unanswered, msgs not passed to doc)

Dr. Knight is a horrible doctor who cares only for money and not the well being of her patients. She was aware I was out of my anti depressant and even though I had an appointment scheduled with her she would not give me a refill to get through the days until I see her. Withdrawing from antidepressants is serious and scary. Also I was told she took my insurance but after 3 visits I was told that was not the case and would have to pay out of pocket. She needs her medical liscense revoked asap.

Dr. Knight was very rude to me. She was late coming in that day (clear weather), so she was late for all the patients. I did not get any assistance from her, and she did not seem to listen or care about anything that I tried to say.
