I had an ongoing colitis issue that interrupted my life daily. Dr. Lakhani was able to find the appropriate medicine for me and I've had zero issues since. I'm very grateful.

I had a bad experience of my Colonoscopy procedure with Dr. Lakhani. It ended up with I had to cancel the procedure with a $200 fine.My primary phycision referred me for 'colon cancer screening' which is preventive based on my family history. Preventive means insurance will cover all the cost.But the facility changed the Procedure/Diagnosis Code as diagnosis/medical. so I have to pay deductiable/co-insurance($1400). They notified me this two days before the procedure. I have no way to cancel the procedure within 3 business days and this trigger the $200 fine.Feel sad about this. Hope other patients won't have this kind of issue when doing Colonoscopy at Reston Surgery Center.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Shilen Lakhani I was very happy and impressed with him, listened to me well and explained the potential cause and path going forward. He did not seem to rush and very pleasant to talk to.

It was a virtual appointment. He started promptly and I did not feel that he was rushed in any way. We went over my medications and tweaked the directions for use. I felt that the appointment was comprehensive. I was totally satisfied.

Great Doc! Took the time to answer all of my many questions. I was also pleased that he did his homework in reviewing my medical history, labs, scans to consider the whole person.

The setting of the office overlooking the pond is certainly spectacular. Tension just disappeared.

Dr. Lakhani is one of many gastroenterologists in a learn practice. I think he is very good at explaining my conditions, prescribing me the appropriate medication, and aiding me with my gastrointestinal (GI) problems. I would easily recommend him to anyone look for a gastroenterologist.

Very knowledgeable and thorough. Listened to my concerns. All the Doctors in this GI Group are top notch.

Dr Lakhani was on time for my visit, clear in his explanation of my diagnosis and helpful with his suggestions for managing my condition. He answered all my questions and advised me how to handle an emergency if my symptoms worsened or recurred. He was very professional and concise.

Excellent care by Dr. Lakhani and his team.

He prescribed me suppositories and chemo drugs (for crohns) without telling me about either of them ahead of time (I found out when I picked them up at the pharmacy). Also claimed to order a test kit to be shipped to my house, and it never showed up. Second time that's happened. Also tried to rush me into furthering my course of crohns medication, when it turned out I had an infection instead. Seemingly an incredibly disorganized office. Honestly one of the worst doctor/patient relationships I've ever had in my life.

Dr. Lakani has been my GI doctor for several years and I would highly recommend him. He is very skilled and I appreciate that he takes the extra time to explain conditions/procedures/options. In my experiences with Dr. Lakhani, I know that I am in good hands.

Dr. Lakhani is always thorough, kind and extremely knowledgeable. He is a fabulous doctor and my go to guy for anything gastro related.

Tele-visit. Easy to schedule. Dr. Lakhani was up-to-speed on my medical history, listened to my symptoms and primary physician's recommendations, and provided me with a course of action and possible diagnoses of my condition. As always, he was friendly and professional.
