Dr. Shida Haghighat, MD

Dr. Haghighat is kind, thorough, and knowledgable. As opposed to many other doctors, she really took the time to review my chart, ask me questions, and explain things to me in a helpful non-condescending manner.

Saw Dr. Haghighat for my GI issues: She was so kind, polite, patient and took the time to explore all my issues holistically and was patient in the 360 conversation around my gut issues. She provided lots of priceless insights at the end of our appointment to improve my state immediately and ordered all the right tests for long-term treatment and hopefully a cure for my troubles. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a GI specialist!!

I met with Dr. Haghighat on Wednesday, December 19th and was thoroughly happy when I left. Truthfully, my entire experience during the appointment was great. The staff was very professional and friendly. But most importantly, Dr. Haghighat was phenomenal. She was incredibly comprehensive and compassionate throughout my appointment. She made me feel very comfortable and provided a lot of helpful information about my GI condition. In addition, she was happy to address all my questions. I am so happy I chose Dr. Haghighat as my gastroenterologist and have recommended her to a few people already.

I have a been a patient of Dr. Haghighat's over the past year. She is kind, compassionate, direct, knowledgeable and patient. I can't speak more highly of my experience working together on my medical issues. It is never easy when you don't feel well as well as feel vulnerable -- she was so supportive and guided me with such compassion. I will continue to recommend and refer my closest friends and family members to her. I am grateful to have Dr. Haghighat as part of my medical care. When writing this review I kept thinking of one word - grateful. Thank you, Dr. Haghighat.

Dr. Haghighat is pompous and arrogant. She showed up 45 minutes late to my appointment without apology. Once I mentioned it to her, she ushered me out of the door within 5 minutes. She proceeded to prescribe a medication that has an adverse affect on one of my medical conditions -- something she would've known had she read my chart or spent more than 5 minutes with me. When I emailed her on MyChart to bring the medication issue to her attention, she was not happy. She called me, berated me, spoke over me, and spoke to me condescendingly. She then sicced her Clinical Manager on me who cancelled my follow-up appointment, as if I was ever going to let her waste my time again. This woman's ego is larger than her actual skill. I did not find her to be knowledgeable, likable, or caring. Choose anyone else for your care, especially if you're from a marginalized community.
