Helpful, Despite Industry Time Constraints
Dr. de Leon is kind and respectful. As an established patient and advocate for my medical welfare, I take the time to prepare for my visit. A visit that could have taken 6 months or more, to get to so, preparedness is key!I know doctors are no longer afforded the luxury of extended personal interactions with their patients, so every minute counts when I'm in her office. In the weeks or months leading to my appointment, I make notes about the things I want to discuss or specific concerns I have. After Dr. de Leon conducts or verify a complete medical exam and or history, including OTC or prescribed meds, she'll make recommendations based on that. We'll then discuss my concerns afterwards she'll make recommendations and or referrals as necessary. Her office staff respond to in-app messages, MyChart is updated quickly and referrals are issued without delay.Tip: You must use and master MyChart (web or Mobile ) for best results.

She is patient, listens, orders necessary tests, is NOT pushy, and makes referals that are necessary. She is kind and concerned and thorough.

Dissapointing
A competent professional who has little interest in patient relations. I felt like a product moving along a line, not a person. This starkly contrasts with my previous doctor at NM, who approached me as a full human. Dr. de Leon is representative of NM's corporatist approach to medicine. See a patient every fifteen minutes. Get those dollars. I am moving on to Rush Medical Center.

Dismissive, rude, terrible bedside manner
I strongly advise patients to steer clear of Dr. de Leon. She regularly rushes through exams, dismisses patient concerns, and exhibits poor bedside manner. Moreover, she often charges for treatments she considers outside the scope of standard exams without informing the patient in advance. Such behavior is unacceptable for a healthcare professional, and she should consider a career away from direct patient interaction.

Awful and Dreadful
She is aweful. She pushes you off unto her awful high mistake physician assistant whom doesn’t comprehend, doesn’t communicate well and either is racist or severely timid and in the wrong field. Dr. de Leon never has availability, poor to respond to messages or mychart, doesn’t give call backs for test results. She is personable in person and soft spoken but that’s all she has, she doesn’t execute well, doesn’t brainstorm or research, if you don’t have very mild simple issues then she is not a good primary.

impossible to get an appointment—youre stuck either having a virtual visit, a phone call, or seeing some disinterested PA. Most of my primary care happened at NW immediate care centers this year. I’d rather pay those doctors more because they actually act like they care.

Do not go to her! Worst doctor appt I’ve had at Northwestern. She couldn’t wait to get me out of her room. She was also 50 min late and it was the first appt of the day. She made it seem like I was an inconvenience to her day? Super bad vibes from her. I highly do NOT recommend going to her. You’re better off going online than talking to her.
