Dr Jose is a caring thoughtful doctor
I went to Dr Jose several times. He tried different approaches to help with my pain. I have scoliosis, which has progressed over the last few years. He was so very kind and gentle, and asked questions and listen to mine, and took a lot of time to answer me completely. I was very impressed with him. He knew I didn't want to take opioids or anything that would make me feel worse. Or cause me harm in the future. He tried giving me injections, but they were so temporary. He let me read about new medical equipment that was just coming available. One was to implant a devise where I could, with a remote, cause an electrical stimulant that would interrupt the message of pain to my brain. But then when he checked my back again, measured carefully, he regretfully told me there wasn't room in my back. He then asked me if I wanted to try a devise , called BiowaveGo, that would do something similar, but was all external. It helped so much, and I'll be forever grateful. Thanks, Dr Jose!

Waiting for a real doctor
I am just here to echo what everyone else has already said about this doctor. I should have have trusted my gut after my consultation with him. I am finding a new pain specialist right away and unless you want to leave feeling horrible about yourself please stay away from this doctor. He accused Me! Of doctor shopping on our 1st consultation even though I was only at his office because my previous pain specialist no longer accepts my current insurance. 3 visits in and he is calling Me! A liar and demanding I bringing my pills so they can be counted because he is 100% I already took all 42 of them in less than the 30 day cycle. He refused to go over my scans or answer any further questions until I meet all his demands. I was completely honest about all medications I was on including the migraine medication and now I am some kind of addict?!?We ended or appointment by him requesting I compose myself and wipe my tears. Donot make a scene for the rest of the patients in the waiting room.

Horrible man and substandard physician. He treats all patients as drug addicts and is only interested in those who need injections because that is how he makes money. He displays no empathy for patients and is frequently dismissive or insulting when patient speaks. Avoid him like the plague.

He is the worst choice to help a person in pain. Cares nothing about others. You will be treated like an addict. He treated my wife, 62 yrs old, with spinal damage, nerve damage, and arthritis, like a criminal. Avoid him if at all possible. Shame on Chester Crozier Hospital for allowing him to practice medicine there. He is afraid to have someone accompany a patient to the back. He wants them isolated and defenseless for his interrogation. A real piece of work! Jim P.
