Some patients may find Dr Shapiro a bit crusty. I have been her patient since 2016. My first visit was a bit intimidating but I soon learned she has your best interests at heart. She saw me through some serious setbacks and I respect her opinion on health issues. I find her very dedicated to her profession.

I've worked in healthcare for the better part of a decade now and have never met such an unprofessional and ill-mannered physician before. Her bedside manners are unacceptable - bordering the lines of professional misconduct. For a physician to use foul language, coerce and force a patient to get a medical treatment which they are repeatedly rejecting, and suggest a patient has a mental disorder for not understanding her question is just asking for a DCA complaint. She's very rude, passive-aggressive, and dismissive of anything other than her own opinion. UCLA... I'm surprised you keep her on staff. Someone should file a complaint with the DCA/medical board.
