Dr. Sheldon Stoffer, MD

I've been with Dr. Stoffer almost 30 yrs and he has always taken excellent care of me. He is kind and compassionate, and very thorough. He remembers fine details about my personal life, which means he hears me but most of all, sees me as a person, not patient No. 12345!

I've been with Dr Stoffer for about 25 years and visiting him is always a wonderful experience. He is kind and thoughtful, and has gone the extra mile to give me the treatments that I have needed. He listens to and hears his patients, and treats them like patients and not numbers

Each visit is worthwhile . He communicates well , is clear and definitely knowledgeable.I especially appreciate his caring personality. I highly recommend Dr Stoffer The office staff is pleasant ,professional and the doctor stays on time and doesnt keep patients waiting

My mother was a patient of Dr. Stoffer's for years. She started to gradually become more fatigued and experienced darker skin as the months went by, but Dr. Stoffer said everything was alright. It got so bad that she had to seek out a 2nd opinion from another endocrinologist at Troy Beaumont. He told her she was at risk for an Addisonian crisis at any moment (the most adverse effect of Addison's disease), which can lead to a severe drop in blood pressure, shock, and eventually death, and told her to go to the ER right away. When she got to the ER, they said she was lucky to still be alive. My mother was diagnosed with Addison's disease in the hospital, and now must take steroids for the rest of her life, leaving her immunocompromised. To those that are patients of Dr. Stoffer, please remain cautious. I will never trust him.

Dr.STOFFER is a very nice caring physical ,take the time to talk with you. to see how you are feeling and what going on with you. When doctor Stoffer receive your test results. He call you personally. and ask are taking your medication as prescribed. Are you having finically difficulties. He is a very concern doctor. And I appreciate him.

Dr. Stouter called back the day after the visit with important results and a RX. Call much appreciated.

I also saw Dr. Stoffer for my thyroid and during my visit he also performed a breast exam with no explaination and no other female professional in the exam room. I left the visit feeling confused and violated. I kept this to myself thinking a breast exam was indicated. After consulting with another endocrinologist about my experience, she admitted a breast exam is not indicated. I just read the previous patient's review and felt sick as now my suspicions are confirmed.

Dr. Stoffer was extremely unprofessional during my visit for diagnosis of a thyroid nodule. After examining my neck he asked me to disrobe from the waist up and put on a exam gown. He informed me he would be performing a breast exam. When I questioned him and told him he insisted and said he often finds lesions other tests(recent mammogram) miss. I left the office never to return. I saw another endocrinologist and when he read he said "Oh, did he try to do a breast exam?" Sad.
