I have sinus issues persisting the last 3 years with varying living conditions, no change has improved my symptoms whatsoever. He rushed my appointment with him, was rude and dismissive, condescending and I did not at all feel respected or taken seriously. He looked at my nose, no scope, camera, anything; said my sinuses are fine and septum is not obstructed (I have had a suspicion that my sinuses are obstructed somewhere in my sinus cavity, not specifically my septum) and referred me to an allergist. During my recent appointment with said allergist she was appalled that he didn’t attempt to scope my sinuses before referring me. She did blood work and was extremely helpful, results showed I had 3 common allergies I already knew about. She recommend I go back to him and I scheduled an appointment with a different ENT in westlake. Please do not waste your time going to Shaun Roof for any kind of treatment.

Would not reccomend
Honestly during my visit with this doctor I felt very dismissed and not taken seriously. The large majority of my experience with doctors have been positive, this is probably the most negative I've had. I get we're all human but the way Dr. Roof spoke to me was unprofessional. Beyond the dismissiveness of my symptoms he was just rude. I pressed him(not hard) on symptoms that have been persisting for a while that he dismissed and he got very defensive in an immature sort of way. The visit started out seemingly well and went down from there

Awful experience. Charged me $630 to put a tube in my nose for 60 seconds and tell me that allergies don’t cause headaches. Incredibly rude and condescending. Got me in and out as fast as possible and still charged me $630 to tell me nothing. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time.

Rushed! I swear he doesn’t blink
I felt rushed, he seemed pompous! And I went to him because my doctor wanted me to see a ENT due to my throat staying sore/ red/swollen/uvula enlarged/ears red and ringing for months. After 2 rounds of antibiotics & a follow up my doctor wanted it seemed by specialist. (Especially because I was a previous smoker too). Dr. Roof walks in and shakes my hand and says so what’s going on.. when I started explaining everthing I just explain above in this message. He would interject with a “Probably diagnoses”. Probably from snoring, Probably sinuses drawing in your throat, Probably hearing loss from loud things/environment. He looked at my throat & ears as I had his office paperwork on my lap and still filling out(all his conclusions weren’t from reflecting from his questionnaire) and says your FINE(astonishing bcuz my throat still felt sore). He said I don’t know why they send you guys out to us for this. If I wanted I can schedule a appt for a hearing test. 2nd opinion here I come!

I liked Dr. Roof's manner with my child and he answered all my questions. I called ahead to specifically ask about cost and told office we are cash pay. I paid the quoted consultation fee before appt. At appt an endoscopy was done without any mention of extra cost. I should have asked, but it seemed like it was just part of the exam. Very frustrating to get $346 bill later, even charging me $32 more for the already paid consultation fee. They need to communicate cost better! ASK at every step.

Took care of another doctors short comings today. I could not be more pleased with the bedside manners and the degree of concern for my worries with my child. I've never received a sarcastic comment only concern for my child. He did surgery today and everything went perfect. He was honest and caring

Will not own up to making a mistake. Documented inaccurate information which clearly contradicted my purpose of visit but when approached to correct would not do so. Does not wash his hands in view of patients either. Sarcastic attitude. Who needs it!
