Evil Ice Queen ....
I will never forget her . I was 20 years old and had my first seizure and it was really bad also. When I got to the E.R. and got back to my room she came in with a bunch of people and told me basically I was doomed , the way she said it was almost like she got some pleasure from it. I went off in the worst way . I demanded a different doctor and told them if I see her again I will not be responsible for what happens and I said some other things . I had flowers sent to my room and a steak from outback from the Nurses and others evidently she treats everybody really really bad and wanted to say thank you. I did not have a brain Tumor I guess to her disappointment just Temporal Lobe epilepsy . She has NO bed side manner and is HATEFUL in the worst way. I don't know where and when but it seems some doctors lose there humanity or maybe she is not human at all which would not shock me, I just think she is still mad cause a house fell on her sister..

Goofy
I quit going to Dr Farber when I found out she wasn’t listening to anything I said. She babbled on about incomprehensible things - not at all engaged in my health! I had a brain aneurysm 10 years earlier, and she was more interested in my kidneys than my brain… even after I told her I have a kidney doctor!! She’s GOOFY!!

No Trust In Farber – Mar 05, 2023
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Farber?
I saw her for a couple of years and she was impossible to communicate with. She put information in my record that was simply not factual. I had difficulty conveying my symptoms to her. Every visit she had no idea who I was and less on what I care needed. She sent me to Vanderbilt on referral, when I arrived they had no information on my previous treatment. A BIG WASTE of time. I left her care and went to pain management which did much more to try and help my condition.

Dr. Sharon Farber is an exceptional neurologist with much knowledge and sound wisdom. But more than that an exceptional human being. All would and could benefit with her concern and “basketful of smarts”.

Dr Farber has been my neurologist for 25 years - I could not ask for a more interested, proactive relationship - she takes the time to ensure that questions are answered and concerns addressed - she sets a very high bar for all other physicians

I have been a patient of Dr. Farber for 4yrs now. She is an awesome doctor who knows her stuff. Her personality maybe different than others, but whose isn't. She cares about her patients. I have gotten received a call from her on a Sunday with concern for my health. I appreciated that. Great doctor

I have been in the medical field for 10+ years and Dr. Farber has by far the worst bedside manners I have ever experienced. She was extremely abrasive, short, and has no clue about sleep apnea nor does she believe in cognitive therapy which insurance pays for. If you're looking for a proactive doctor willing to challenge the status quo and think outside the box this is not your doc.

All these people who keep writing these bad reviews about Dr. Farber are either wanting to hear a diagnosis that they do not have or they do not take the time to get to know her. She may have a different personality but she is a Genius! She is caring and really takes the time to find out what is going on with her patients. She is VERY good at what she does!!

When my mother was sick, no one knew how to help her. Dr Farber did everything she knew to do and helped my mother get better. She was extremely caring and compassionate to my mother and made sure we both knew what to do to keep my mother on her road to recovery. We are very grateful to Dr Farber.

Didn't care about my father AT ALL. Talks way too fast. He's elderly, he can't understand people who talk fast. Also adjusted his meds and didn't want to follow up til 6 months?! He's now very ill because of her incompetence. I'm beyond furious and heartbroken. She's supposed to be a decent doctor.. guess not!

Dr. Farber treats my brain-damaged son for epileptic seizures. She has spent a huge amount of time determining the correct kind and dosage of medications to treat him and she going to his location. This shows her caring and wanting to accommodate the patient. I find her willing to talk with me, his mother, about his condition and in wanting to help him overcome his problem the best way possible. She can seem abrupt, but to me, this shows her professionalism in wanting to "get the job done."

Dr. Farber has the worst bed-side manner of any doctor I have ever been to. She talked "down" to me, and did not address or sympathize with my concerns. She was also in a big hurry to get out of the room and I had to really concentrate to "get" what she was trying to say because she talked so quickly. Not personable at all.
