This provider conducted my psychiatric evaluation in my semi-private medical unit hospital room in front of a stranger, and with the door open! She didn't check my medical conditions to see if they were effecting my symptoms and misdiagnosed me with a serious psychiatric disorder. I had severe B-Vitamin deficiency that she left undiagnosed and untreated. Had a GI doctor not found this I would have died a slow death from Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome.

If I could give zero stars I would. She is very rude and condescending and doesn’t listen to what people are actually saying. Her telephone appointments are a joke. She blocks her number so if you have a spam blocker for robo calls on your phone it goes directly to voicemail. There is no way to call her back because at least three of the offices that she’s affiliated with, Zelienople, Butler and Beaver have no idea where she is. Keep looking if you’re in need of a Dr. who cares about your situation.

Dr Altman helped my mother so much. She looked at her whole situation including her physical and mental health - and her age. Family situation etc... we got her on the right meds at the right dosage and saw great improvement. She is patient but direct. My mom needed to have someone tell her the trut- directly -about a few things and she did. But in a very caring way. She helped my mom so much. And helped our whole family.

If I could give zero stars I would. No bedside manner - no compassion- no encouragement from this (if you want to call her) doctor. She pushes ‘bi-polar’ diagnosis on most patients. FYI- for every bi-polar diagnosis- psych doctors receive a monetary stipend. Stay away.
