I got a breast reduction surgery from Dr. O'Brien. 1) I emphasized multiple times that I wanted low nipples and that most breast reductions seem to leave the nipples too high. Post-op, my nipples are a full inch higher than the apex of my breasts and my areolas are barely covered by my bra. My nipple placement request was not recorded in her medical notes. 2) Dr. O'Brien decides whether to do side lipo on the operating table. I trusted her to make the right call so didn't ask for it as a stand alone thing. She left me me with 1-2 cups of displaced breast tissue on each side forming awkward conical dog-ears on both sides. 3) I asked for 2/3 removed. She removed 1/2. in the 1 week follow up the operating nurse said they left me larger than they had to but in my 6 month follow up Dr. O'Brien insisted that she took the maximum she could safely remove. 4) Dr. O'Brien was defensive and dismissive when I brought up the above, breaking my trust.

Dr O'Brien is excellent. She is thoughtful, kind and professional. She has a trustworthy nature, and is confident without being arrogant. I was very pleased with the results from my surgery. She explained everything clearly in the pre=surgery consult and spent a lot of time without seeming rushed in the least. The office staff is friendly and attentive. I very highly recommend Portland Plastic Surgery Group and Dr O'Brien.

I saw Dr. O'Brien to discuss having a breast reduction. After a process that included taking several photos of me topless and thoroughly examining my breasts (tapping, patting, lifting, measuring) and speaking to me at length about the surgery, she informed me that she would refuse to do the surgery unless I first lost 20 lbs. This is despite the fact that I've had a recent stress test, a full lipid panel and am in excellent health. In fact, one of the reasons I would like a breast reduction is
