I went to the doctors this time just for my annual physical and medicine refills. I’ve been a patient of Dr. GUMA‘s for close to eight years. She was the one who discovered I had hypothyroidism. She is always available for me. She spends as much time as you need with her. Her bedside manner is professional yet caring and empathetic. It is actually a pleasure to go to Dr. GUMA. Some doctors I have been to it’s dreadful. I wanted to say more but I ran out of characters thank you Dr. GUMA for caring for me for so many years

Dr. Guma is caring, detailed oriented, friendly and compassionate about her profession and her patients. She doesn't just hear you, she actually listens.
I highly recommend anyone searching for a Primary Care Provider to look no further. You couldn't make a better choice than to choose her with your health care. I followed her from the city to Columbia because I trust her and the commute is nothing compared to my health and knowing I am cared for by the best!!!

I saw Dr. Guma 3-4 times. Was new to the area and asked for prescriptions that my former doc had prescribed. I had been prescribed a controlled pain medication that I had been promised was non-addictive but it was. So when I asked for this, I was scolded for taking this med; generally humiliated and also given a therapist referral. I realize it was probably her lack of insight, familiarity with me,license paranoia? And if I had not been talked down to in a harsh manner, I would have understood and not been so offended. Obviously, that was the end of this relationship. Being a new widow also at this time, it was very disappointing to feel such little compassion from this doc.

Dr. Guma is a terrific practitioner! She listens carefully, thinks things out, and approaches issues in a sensible way. She has a nurturing, warm personality, and I am always comfortable talking with her. I never feel rushed as a patient. My husband and I feel lucky to be Dr. Guma’s patients.
