Had her a few years ago as a high school senior. Did not go well. I was so upset I cried when I went into the car with my mother. And it literally took for me to CRY for my own mother to be back on my side. When we first met this woman, she quickly expressed lack of empathy and came to quick conclusions, such as not wanting any help. I clearly implied that I did, but nothing ever worked over the years no matter how hard I tried. I wasn’t even prescribed anything yet! Then I told her that I was sick of my mother constantly trying to completely change my personality when I have every right to be myself. I just needed help getting rid of hopelessness and unhappiness. Ticked off, I rolled my eyes as a nervous tick, then she says “Don’t roll your eyes at me.” Then she says my mom is trying to make me better than everyone when I don’t give a crap about that. And it didn’t help the fact that my mother laughed out of relief as if she was saying “Finally! You tell her, Doc!” Save yourselves…

She has a revengful approach and preconceived notion towards her patients. Meaning that she forms a bias opinion without adequate evidence.

Dr Cartwright’s knowledge, experience, and empathetic approach to my mental healing has helped my quality of life at home and work. Her passion to help you heal is priceless. She’s not a component of just prescribing medication she wants to get to know and understand your behavior to ensure the right prescription. Her medication management model should be replicated throughout. Thank you Dr Cartwright for saving my mental health that has saved my marriage and improve my skills at work

My experience with Dr. Cartwright's office staff has been horrible. The front desk manager named Jessica is incredibly rude. She curses at clients and will even hang up the phone on you. It's a shame. Stay away.

I don’t care for Dr.Cartwright at all she’s very nonchalant and doesn’t really show her patients any sensitivity or empathy. The ladies at the desk aren’t always polite nor do they always greet you when you walk in.This whole place is a joke if you ask me.They've had bed bugs since sep-oct of 2019 they never even told their patients and are still open and operating as normal. When you sit in the chairs in the lobby you will start itching at some point from being bit by bed bugs.Dont bother to tell them because they aren’t gonna do anything about it,beware please!

Worst doctor’s office ever. The Hispanic receptionist (forgive me. I don’t know her name) is extremely rude. Dr. Cartwright has the worst bedside manner I’ve ever seen with any doctor. She’s rude and she rushes you. Don’t go to this doctor. I’ve never had such a bad experience anywhere.

This was my first and last visit with her. I visited the Camp Spring office. The receptions didn't greet me nor did they tell me that she was running 50 minutes late. She finally arrived, didn't apologize for being late, & drew clinical conclusions off of a 10 minute conversation & no background information. My therapist (who I have been seeing for 1.5 years) referred me for depression & Dr. Cartwright basically told me I needed better coping skills. Do not see her if you actually want help

This psychiatrist made my mental illness worse. The only thing she did during our visit was tell me how much of a failure I was and how I would never get better. This was torture for someone with suicidal intention's to begin with. I just don't understand why she is so mean and evil.

Dr. Cartwright also works at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. She shows an inability to provide proper care or empathy for her patients. Her habits included talking to in-patients when they were half-asleep and being absent at time of crisis. When I asked if I could be discharged she threaten that my insurance would refuse to pay for the stay and I would never get better without her help. The meds prescribed to me, made it difficult to attend group therapy, which was the major part for release!
