Dr. Kim is an excellent physician. I need hand surgery and he is the ONLY one I would go to. He subsequently performed carpal tunnel surgery on my dominant hand and did a masterful job. I trust him implicitly to do my trigger finger surgery. He is a top tier Dr.!

Grateful and Excited for Surgical Results
Dr. Kim operated on my Dupuytren's contracture and I'm grateful and excited for the results. I hadn't thought to leave a review earlier, but my friend said it would help other people find Dr. Kim, so I'm posting this now, 15 plus months post-surgery.I was having lots of discomfort and functionality problems with my left hand because of my Dupuytren's contracture. Dr. Kim did an amazing job and 15 plus months later my left hand looks, feels, and works like I never had Dupuytren's contracture or the pain and problems that I suffered with for so long.BIG thanks, to Dr. Kim.

Great results!
I highly recommend Dr Kim.They very patiently answered all of my concerns and questions. Carefully explaining all of my options. From day one, I new I was in the right place. Under their capable hands I received the best care. There were a few times when I needed assistance beyond my scheduled appointments. Every time I reached out, my concerns were promptly addressed, including over weekends. Often times, Lisa Anderson, PA was the person who followed through, keeping Dr Kim abreast of what was happening all along. She was always reassuring and encouraging and was an important part of my recovery.Additionally, the first person you come in contact with is Aidan, the front desk coordinator. He was pleasant, kind and professional. The decision to have surgery takes thoughtful consideration. I made the right decision in choosing Dr Kim and couldn’t be happier with the results. Thanks to them I have a better quality of life.

Discrimination cancelled my surgery 3 days prior
This Doctor experience left me with medical trauma. I saw Dr Kim for medical breast reduction. I was upfront from day one! About all my complex health issues & disabilities. He never ever said he had reservations doing my surgery. Set a date 8 mos away as he went on a 3 mos vacation summer of 2022. My surgery was planned for October. The Friday before my surgery I had to call office to confirm my surgery preOP instructions. Come Monday I get a call another patient with cancer needs my spot. No one calls me to reschedule. I had rearranged my life and caretakers! I had to ask why no one was contacting me to reschedule. Then I get a message from Dr saying he is no longer “comfortable” doing my medically needed surgery. He wasted a year of my life expecting a surgery from him. I found another surgeon FAR superior and am 6 mos post op doing great. I felt completely discriminated against bc he had ALL info for 8 mos. Awful treatment of patient

Dr. Kim has such a wonderful bedside manner and went above and beyond for me to get my procedure. He explained everything extremely thoroughly and I left feeling confident about how to perform my aftercare!

Dr. Kim was great for my cancer reconstruction. Answered all my questions, even called me direct when my surgery was put on hold due to Covid restrictions. He was professional all the way. His staff is great!

The man is a total joke, rude and condescending. Said I wasn't a good candidate for DIEP procedure. Didn't even do an exam. I gave him 1 star because I couldn't give him zero stars and, believe me, he's no shining star. Went to 3 other plastic surgeons and they were all mystified by his refusal to do the DIEP procedure. He didn't bother to give an explanation and we didn't bother to ask. Just left. Long story short, went to OHSU and the wonderful Dr Chang and they did a fabulous job. They treated me with great respect and kindness and did a fabulous job. I can not express how impressed I was by the hospital and doctors and the great care I received while a patient there. I would definitely give Dr Chang and OHSU 5 stars. I will and have continued to support and promote them. Kim could likely learn something from them but likely won't because his overcharged superego gets in his way. Glad we didn't go with him. God works in mysterious ways.

Initially, this MD was very friendly and seemed genuinely concerned about my pain and discomfort. After an MRI of my wrist, we had a phone consult and he mentioned having arthroscopy to further evaluate the damage. I asked for more conservative treatment to consider the healing time as I am a full-time student and working in patient care part-time. He never sent my PT referral and when I inquired through the Mychart system a few months later he provided an altogether different approach to my plan for healing that left me even more confused and concerned that he may not be looking at his previous charting for consistency of care. In fact, there wasn't even any documentation of our phone appointment for me to refer to. When I advocated for myself in his office he became very obviously offended and treated me poorly, I left and would not allow him to inject my wrist. More surprising was his documentation of the visit that clearly showed a personal issue with me. Ask to see someone else!

I had a great experience with Dr Kim. My situation was complicated I saw 3 reconstruction surgeons prior to De Kim. Every one of them gave only 1 option - Dr Kim listened carefully to my concerns - and developed three options for me. He patiently explained the pro/ cons of each procedure - and I was so thankful for his open mindedness and ability to provide a reconstruction that I was actually excited about! The final outcome was better then I could have dreamed. I am forever thankful to Dr Kim -

Dr Kim is very professional and caring, he takes the time to explain options and answer questions. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my procedure- he has a great eye - I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for mastectomy reconstruction- or a DIEP flap surgery - He is truly very talented.

Dr. Kim is a very skilled surgeon with very little bedside manner. After my first procedure-which failed, no fault of the doctor, we scheduled my second procedure with plenty of time to order the expander needed Since I travel 7 hours to Dr Kim, I emailed and then called 2 weeks ahead of time making sure everything was in order. It was not. Apparently notes were not taken at my last appointment, nor did the doctor read the emails sent to his office - even though I had replies. DISAPPOINTING

Not a good interaction with Dr. Kim and his team They were poor about answering simple, direct questions about recovery time, safety precautions (wearing a brace), and any recovery protocol. I asked these questions at multiple stages and was given short general statements that proved to create issues with my HR department in trying to go back to work. If I ultimately need follow-up treatment or another surgery I will not return to this group.

This doc definitely did not listen to me. For example, I told him when I had previous injections; he went on to say I had my last injection in a month I never stated. Also, he said I had several issues going on with my wrist/hand, but never said how to addresss all of the issues, instead choosing to focus on just one minor part of the entire problem. He seems too concerned about maximizing the money he makes, and shows little regard/care for the paying patient. His staff is wonderful tho.
