The Best!
Dr. Hemphill always listens, never hurries you. Even though I know there are many patients waiting, he takes his time to listen and respond. He is considered the "ringmaster" for my daughters multiple illnesses. He watches all what is going on and makes sure he understands the latest developments. He will explain his viewpoint and gives us plenty of opportunities to ask questions or ask about alternatives.

Friendly, concerned, listens and trusts your thoughts about your body! He responds to phone and my Chart message questions. Makes referrals as needed. Observant if lab values and recommends further to evaluate for possible disease process. Gives diet and medication recommendations and suggestions to help keep us healthy. Glad to have found him so near our new home after moving from the east coast of NC last year. Very pleased with him and his practice staff!

Dr. Hemphill has been my primary care doc for 7 years and been the person who recommended and followed thru with screenings and tests which lead to the diagnosis and treatment and/or referral for a heart irregularity, thyroid imbalance (referred and confirmed with endo Hashimoto's) and routine lung screen(referred for and subsequent lung cancer wedge resection). Extremely caring and thorough. With his quick reaction to test results, I am now 3 years post op having had no chemo or radiation. All 5 star tribute to Dr. Hemphill and his staff!

I am from out of state and needed to refill a prescription for anxiety that was prescribed by my previous physician after a lengthy diagnosis. This doctor told me that my anxiety is caused by my choice to eat gluten. I do not have Celiac's and have no intolerance to gluten. He refused to prescribe my medication although I was diagnosed and he had my medical records. I did not want to experiment with the unproven and potentially dangerous Keto diet and a new medication since I have a newborn baby

Awful man. Mean to elderly patient next to me. Useless and pompous with me. Spent no time at all talking to me, jumped to conclusions, doesn't "believe in pharmaceuticals." Worst bedside manner ever. Horrible doctor!

Dr HEMPHILL IS A CARING, knowledgeable internist who is always available to his patients. He spends more time with me than any physician I've ever seen. He treats patients holistically and is concerned with your entire lifestyle. His staff is professional and caring and I never have a problem getting an appointment. I highly recommend Dr Hemphill!
