Dr. Shane Hawksworth, MD

Dr Hawksworth is one of those doctors that are so smart and good at their job that he puts his whole focus on helping the patient, listening and finding the best way to help and with minimal damage. But his hyperfocus helping can come across to some as rude or weird. He is an amazing doctor and I would trust him with my life over almost any doctor. I don’t need to be coddled and told nice things to make me happy. He tells the truth and does a great job. If you are sensitive and get your feelings hurt maybe he’s not your guy but if you want the best and can deal with a little awkward. I 100% recommend him.

Nov 17, 2022 I had my L4-5 fusion done by Dr. Hawksworth. I was so nervous getting this surgery done, thank God for Dr. H, he calmed my nerves and he was at the hospital , as the surgery, checking on how I was doing practically, every day. I was planning to go to Houston for this surgery, I am so fortunate to have found such a wonderful and excellent doctor who could do it here, in El Paso. Especially when I found out by Dr. Hawksworth what recovery and physical therapy was like. It has been 7 months since surgery. I would say I’m about 75 percent recovered. I am very grateful for Dr. Hawksworth!

Dr. Hawksworth performed a craniotomy on me, and I recovered very well. I am back at work!

My wife had to have a tumor removed from her brain. Dr Hawksworth met with me, showed me the pictured of the tumor and explained that there were several major risks among which were loss of the ability to speak and move which she displayed already. Dr. Hawksworth squeezed her surgery into his already full, schedule performed the surgery and after the tubes were removed the next day she was speaking and moving about. We will always be grateful to Dr. Hawksworth for his excellent work.

incompetent and arrogant

Very satisfied with this great young (to me) Doctor. Dr. Hawksworth takes great pains to explain, in very easy to understand ways, every detail needed to understand what is needing fixed and what he did to accomplish this.
