An Incredible Doctor...
Dr. Amersi is the most kind hearted, professional, most amazing doctor I have ever met. I was lucky to stumble upon her in 2008 (yes, that’s over 17 years ago!!!) and feel so grateful to be under her care. Her patients well-being is her top priority, and she will be honest with you in whatever diagnosis or issues you may be facing, which I can truly appreciate after going through so many issues (a child pregnancy complication 6 months in, breast cancer, etc.). She is very knowledgeable and even when the issue was outside the scope of a OBGYN, she referred me to specialists that could help (who knew her sister is an oncologists!?). She delivered both of my beautiful daughters, both in which were such easy childbirths for me. She even had my husband “co-deliver” both of them, which was hilarious and a running joke that he almost dropped the first but Dr. Amersi caught her instead! Was it luck they both went flawlessly? Definitely not. It’s because she is a brilliant doctor.

This Dr just cares about MONEY!
Base fee for an appointment is $400 annually for 'hands on care' . Appointments are only 10 mins, she doesn't listen to concerns, is dismissive, rushed, and isn't listed in any medical literature as an 'expert' in PCOS etc, so you be the judge. In addition to a copay and billing your insurance, she charges; $150 for the pap at your well woman exam, $150 for bloodwork, $150 for a pelvic ultrasound, $150 for a colposcopy, etc. There is a $75 fee to share medial records with your GP!! Despite this normally being a free professional courtesy, California law also says records can only cost the patient .25 per page. The records for 2 visits were definitely not 300 pages! She told me that I required a colposcopy. GYNs to whom I brought the pap since have said a colpo is unnecessary and that it was likely so she could bill insurance and get the payment from me!!At each visit, she tells you that you need to buy supplements from a website, using her code, from which she gets a cut. ?

Cero - She is not the right person for anybody.
I had a very disappointing experience with her. She didn't take the time to listen to my concerns, and the entire visit lasted only 8 minutes. Since then, I've received shady invoices nonstop, which is frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone who values personalized and transparent care.

SHOULD BE ZERO!!! Terrible person, horrible doctor
To be a pregnant person at Dr. Amersi's practice, you have to pay a $1500 concierge fee. Except no one from her office told me that... Until I am checking in for my appointment.I explained to them that no one told me about this fee and to see if it was possible to waive it because I was moving and only needed to see her once to confirm I was pregnant. I thought that since I had been such a loyal patient, spending thousands of dollars at her practice and writing her a nice review when people had (correctly) been calling her a terrible doctor, she would consider waiving the fee for me for one appointment. Instead, this doctor refused to see me or have the human decency to speak to me. I was told I'd have to pay the $500 installment or leave. To reiterate, no one told me there was a $1500 fee to see this doctor. Now I am being charged a $125 cancellation fee for their mistake. Terrible person. Horrible doctor. Will be reporting her to the Better Business Bureau.

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
I’ve been trying to get an appointment for over a month. No on returning my calls or emails. They would not refill my prescription until I came in (paid them money) Luckily I found a doctor that wasn’t just about money & actually cared about me.

HORRIBLE
I went for a first time visit. Dr. Amersi was over an hour late so I had to leave. They kept my $180 administrative fee claiming that I did not keep the appointment. Very cold, very rude office all around.

Fantastic OB/GYN!!
Dr. Amersi is an awesome physician. She truly cares about her patients. She listens, is attentive, and has helped me tremendously with my gynecological and hormonal issues. I drive 3 hours for my appointments with Dr. Amersi, so that tells you how much I value her!!

PLEASE READ - You deserve better
I started seeing Dr. A in January 2021. I was relieved to find a well-rated OBGYN. In the beginning, my experience was positive and while her $360 annual fee is not ideal, I was happy to pay for the "extra care and services" she claims to include. When you do get pregnant, there is an additional $1,500 pre-natal fee and there is also a $75 fee to retrieve your medical records. After one year under her care, I decided to seek a new doctor. - Appointments are extremely rushed and generic. She forgets what we discussed in the last appointment and not at all specific to my experience. - I experienced insensitive comments such as "we are going in circles and we need to move forward with your fertility plan." - The wait is never less than 45 minutes. - Their office NEVER answers the phone. - She referred two urologists, who don't do fertility Many more to share, but this was the most negative medical experience I've had and women deserve more care during such a sensitive process.

proceed with caution
my first visit was great, so i paid the annual admin fee.. it was all downhill from there. my appointments were rushed, my test results/info mixed up with other patients, pressured into tests and treatments i felt were not helping (in fact making things worse) + then gaslit when i expressed i felt worse. erroneously charged for things by billing... and now that i've moved i'm being told i have to pay $75 for a copy of my records. I have friends who had different experiences with her, so I do not doubt that dr amersi is smart and likely better than "most" obgyns out there.. however, the annual fee and other charges + the subpar treatment by her and her office staff are not worth it.

Worst Doctor I Have EVER Encountered
Dr. Amersi gets some great reviews but all I can figure is that maybe she treats her OB patients better than her GYN patients. I moved to Los Angeles after being stable on hormone replacement therapy for 10+ years. I started seeing Dr. Amersi approximately 6 months ago. She did not listen to my concerns and now I'm back to spotting, hot flashes and night sweats; she basically put me back into the throes of menopause. When I tried to address these concerns she accused me of being "snippy" and suggested that maybe my symptoms were a result of depression and anxiety. Her statements to me were condescending and unprofessional. In addition, she charges almost $400 per year OVER insurance and copays. She also wants you to get your labs done at her office but charges $75-$100 out-of-pocket as a "courier fee" per lab draw! I have had to wait an outrageous amount of time when I had appointments and her office does not respond to messages. Horrible experience!

Charges almost $400 on top of insurance
I did not book here because I’ve never heard of a doctor charging a fee on top of the insurance and copay. I feels exploitative.

Amazing doctor, not enough time for patients
Dr. Amersi is kind, brilliant, and highly knowledgeable--especially about holistic approaches to medical issues that many doctors just slap pharmaceuticals on. That said, I've had several appointments where we made no progress because she didn't read my chart before sitting in front of me and was rushing to the next appointment, which leads to her constant repetition of the same medical advice rather than giving advice based on how my conditions have actually developed. And there's no time to thoroughly explain what's going on--it's been several years since I've had more than 5 minutes in a room with her. Nonetheless, if you don't mind being rushed out/having to forego thorough appointments, then Dr. Amersi is a solid option. Her advice is reasoned and rooted in a desire to preserve long-term reproductive health. She just bites off more than she can comprehensively chew.

Bills to say she can't do a procedure
Dr. Amersi's office refused to inform me, in advance, that she does not do a certain procedure that I booked to have done, but nevertheless billed me $100 for an 'administration fee' that had to be paid up front before seeing her. Then when I did see her they billed an additional $171 for a so-called 'medical consultation' fee, which was nothing more than her telling me that she doesn't do the procedure that I needed. $271 is a lot to pay to hear someone say she doesn't do something.

Fantastic Doctor, Long Wait Times
Dr Amersi is wonderful, knowledgeable, and makes appointments quick and easy. However the wait times are extremely long. I've waited over 90 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, and 1 hour on multiple occasions, even just for a blood draw. I will continue going to see Dr A, but I dread how much of my day it takes up if you go in the afternoon.

The best of the best
Dr. Amersi is as smart as she is kind. She knows what she is doing from hormone health to delivering babies. She helped so much with my twin / high risk pregnancy. My husband is actually sad he doesn't get to see her so often. We love Dr. Amersi! I wanted to mention the other reviews that talk about the office fee... Dr. Amersi lives and breathes for her patients. She is an integrative medicine doctor that actually takes insurance. Because of those two things (coupled with her knowledge and manor) we gladly pay the fee associated with seeing her and find it completely worth it!

The staff charged me for my annual visit despite it being covered by my insurance. Doubt they'll ever get around to refunding me. This was my second visit. The first one was great; the second visit was rushed and the doctor seemed to be more interested in trying to sell me vitamins than in an upcoming surgery I'm having. In the end they got my money; but they won't get my business ever again.
