Dr. Shaista Zaman, MD

Terrible doctor that was rushing me, dismissive of my questions, and telling me to schedule another appointment to discuss my issues. What's the point of an annual checkup if I cannot discuss my health problems? She was not helpful or kind at all! She clearly didn't have enough knowledge to answer basic health questions and then was rude as if I didn't know what I was talking about.

I was rushed, made to feel like I was in the wrong for trying to clarify, and talked down to the entire visit. Not only this I was then billed for an office visit for asking clarifying questions about the questions I was being asked about for the answers I gave to the on boarding quiz she gave me. I had to work really hard to prove that my statements were true only to then be charged for them and have them in my patient chart. I am never coming back to see her again and hope this review helps people avoid her.

Very sad to have to leave a review for a place I’ve been going to for 4 years. As my regular doctor retired, I tried Dr. Zaman. Dr. Zaman left me confused after an in-patient procedure, not telling me what actually was going on. I went to three different follow up appointments consisting of various medical practices NOT at Bellevue family medicine, and a lot of them confirmed my confusion with their confusion as to what was actually going on with me. My health is not a joke, and I do not take it lightly. Her JOB is to tell the patient exactly what is going on in a way that is clear, calm, and concise. She did none of that. It’s caused me stress, unnecessary doctor’s appointments, and confusion on where my health stands. I will never go back to Bellevue Family Medicine because of this.

I have been seeing Dr. Shaista Zaman for a number of years. Dr. Zaman is caring and knowledgeable and I trust her to always give me the straight information I need to make my important health decisions. Her broad experience is helpful when I have questions or need medical advice. She recently helped me determine where and how to get a partial knee replacement after I had been suffering for a number of years. The result was a game changer for me. I appreciate that Dr. Zaman sees me as an individual as well as a patient and gives me the individualized care that is so important to me.

I've been a patient of Bellevue Family Medicine for over 20 years and have been cared for by many providers. Dr Zaman is by far the best I've seen. She is compassionate, proactive and knowledgeable. Her overall wellness and holistic advice is invaluable, to me I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Zaman.

It was a pleasure to see Dr. Zaman and start my journey of addressing my longstanding anxiety and depression with her. She was dialed in, gave me a plan, and laid out the next steps clearly. She is engaging, and as a fellow medical professional, it is abundantly clear that she is incredibly well informed as I learned from her during my visit. I feel fortunate that she is my PCP.

Very dismissive and condescending. She shouldn’t be practicing family medicine.

This was my first and last time seeing Dr. Zaman. Her demeanor was unfriendly and the entire visit felt very robotic. I don't feel like she validated my concerns and seemed more interested in telling me I was misinformed. I'm not sure family medicine is a good fit for her.

Most unprofessional doctor I have ever come across. Does not remember her own treatment plans from previous visits and cannot take the time to write down parents name, so when she asks you a question she asks you “what’s your name”. We have had 3 previous visits with her and she doesn’t know who I am. I took the time to listen to her and I know how many children she has and how old they are but she doesn’t know who I am. My daughter deserves the best and it’s not Dr. Zaman.
