Dr. Gupta told me that surgery on my retina would have a 90% chance of success and that if problems arose he would treat those issues. After he performed surgery my vision, which had been fair-good, became much worse, I now see very little with that eye. I then went to the top rated Bascom Palmer Institute where an opthalmologist evaluated the retina and told me that it was damaged beyond repair, nothing could be done for it. By the way, after undergoing many surgeries, Dr. Gupta is the first surgeon I recall who did not visit me in the post-op room to ask how I was doing and to tell me how the surgery went. I won’t return to him.

Great except his offices
Dr. Gupta is a masterful surgeon. He is calm, open, informative and very kind. His offices are infuriatingly and unapologetically overcrowded and overbooked. Signs are posted asking patients to not curse staff. Visits are 2-3 hours. With all due respect, one of his caliber can provide at the very least a larger waiting area or multiple ones and in nicer locations. I watched a patient fall on the uneven steps outside one office. Its unacceptable.

Professionalism is not satisfactory
Does not spend time to review patient's concerns. One has to spend 3.5 hours to see him and would spend 2 minutes with patient.

I have found Doctor Gupta to be very professional and caring. He is not an alarmist, his staff has been working very well with the confines of Covid. He does not push you into surgery and works well with my opthamologist as well.

Dr. Shailesh Gupta is a highly professional, extremely bright surgeon. His years of experience have provided him with extensive experience and expertise. He literally saved my husbands eyesight remediating his torn retina. Recently I had a personal experience with a very positive outcome. I read reviews that complained about wait time, that was not my experience however, I can sincerely say that it is worth the wait to see Dr Gupta.

There are 16 chair in this office, and 20-25 elderly people at any given time. My grandmother had a 2:30 appointment. She waited an hour & a half for service. My grandmother is diabetic. Her blood sugar was also incredibly low. I was standing in the hallway. The office administrator, Linda, stood three inches from my face & told me to sit in the lobby. When my grandmother asked Linda to move, that I’d waited for two hours, she responded her, “that is irrelevant—she needs to sit in the lobby.” Arms crossed, inches away from my face, Linda pointed at the door to, as she put it, “go.” As a nurse tried to help my grandmother, Linda came in to tell us she was calling the police. Dr. Gupta came in. He said he had other patients. According to Gupta, if we didn’t have a quiet conversation, we’d have to leave. I gathered my grandmother’s belongings, and walked her to her car. There were 8-9 older patients before us who were still waiting once we left. My grandmother cried in the car.

Horrible provider. Was very rude with me when I told him I needed to ask my family on the extensive retinal testing he wanted to perform. I went for a second opinion by another provider and was told I didn't need the testing as I didn't show any signs for needing it. The office made me go back 3 times and collected 3 copays for me to pick up my report (which I never received). I told the staff to send me report to my PCP and they have yet to do it. The doctor should not be rude to his patients when they question the need for a procedure. I barely saw him for 2 minutes and had is assistant see me.

Very poorly managed operation. Patients spend excessive time waiting(45-60 minutes) for a 5 minute procedure or test. Very unprofessional attitude toward patients and the value of their time. Any office that has 2 waiting rooms with many patients and only 1 or 2 being treated is an example of gross inefficiency. Recommend that this Dr be avoided. Any doctor that does not understand or pay attention to his office operation and patient wait times should not be practicing medicine.

Dr Gupta was recommended to me by by Ophthalmologist to confirm mt retinal issues. I would say the appointment was OK but not as professional that I am used to. This was first visit and I will probably look elsewhere. His facilities were temporary at best. A shared space with a physical Therapy participate. Not a 21st Century facility

Maybe a bad day Sorry would recommend anyone. Poor service. Had an attitude and totally disrespectful as a doctor. Went for second opinion and happy say i am just fine. Dr. Gupta and his staff advise me i had a tear in one eye and swelling in the other. Of course did not go in to see him for either of these issues. Rand eye institute i recommend.

This doctor's practice is absolutely awful. I don't know where to start... 1. Wait time is over 100 minutes in Boca Raton office - people get up and leave without ever being able to see the doctor. 2. The room is small, packed with elderly people like cattle 3. Greed displayed by patient overbooking and patient frustration can be felt within five minutes of walking into his office. 4. The doctor has a 'holier than you' attitude where asking questions is seen as wasting his time.
