Dr. Shail Govani, MD

Dr Govani interviewed me before performing a colonoscopy. Dr Govani performed biopsies based on my interview. This proved to be beyond an IBS diagnosis - this gave me a REAL diagnosis with a REAL medicine. Now, I feel REAL good. Dr. Govani is a REAL Doctor.

Dr. Govani was helpful with my medication by explaining how I could potentially stop it and ordered testing to make sure it was not necessary anymore. He is friendly and listen to concerns.

On time, explained the process of the procedure to me. Had knowledge of my previous experience. Very thorough in explaining what occurred during this event. Highly recommend.

Dr. Govani, is at the tops of the tops. His bedside manner was very soothing, with a touch of humor that put the patient at ease. The procedure went flawlessly. Even though it was not required that I be fully sedated, he continued to keep me informed and at ease. I would go back to him in a flash! I highly recommend Dr. Govani to anyone requiring his services in the future.

He is thorough in his review of my condition. He wanted to know the details of how my pancrease has been since the initial acute pancreatitis episode.

He appeared to be more interested in his coworkers and what is on his phone as opposed to his patients. he was annoyed at the fact that i had questions and genuinely seemed to not care.

Dr. Govani was very professional and knowledgeable. And explained my experience and results. Would ask for him again,

I did not feel Dr. Govani explained the procedures very well or results afterwards. He seemed tired and rushed.

Met Dr Govani at outpatient clinic at Ohio Gastro. He explained my procedure and ask if I had any concerns or questions. He was very personable and reassuring to me. He came in shortly after my procedure to check on me and give me my results.

Dr. Govani is experienced, knowledgeable and he communicates in terms the patient can understand. I liked that he gave me options for treatment.

I have gone been a patient at Ohio Gastro for the past 15 years. I always have professional service with the doctors and staff. There are many locations makimg it convenient for appointments and procedures. The staff are always kind and caring. This was my first procedure with Dr Govani. He explained everything thoroughly before and after my procedure. I didn’t feel rushed when askimg questions or addressing concerns. I highly recommend the Ohio Gasrro group and Dr Govani.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor is knowledgeable, to the point and answered all of my questions prior to developing a treatment plan.

My first visit to this doctor He seemed nice I am hoping to get a prescription error worked out though I am having a lot of discomfort and I’m trying to get the medication that he recommended Ihave used this particular medicine before and I know it works for me

I had IBD and ended up with a permanent ileostomy - with an outrageous amount of output. It has affected my quality of life severely. I've worked with several doctors before him, and it was basically '(shrugs) that's unfortunate. there's nothing we can do.' with everyone. Dr. Govani is different. He's looking at my body as a whole, and also not willing to settle with me surviving instead of a chance to actually LIVE again. In his very first thing of a long list we can try, I've already made significant improvement. My insurance has denied the next thing he wants to try - and HIS OFFICE IS DOING THE APPEAL for this. He goes above and beyond, and thinks outside the box. Would recommend him to anyone, but especially people with complex medical histories who have not had luck with other doctors.
