Epistemically dangerous in the common ways
When I shared my concerns and apprehensions about taking medication in terms of long term risks she tried to gaslight me into believing that was a symptom of my diagnosis and when I called her on it encouraged me to find a psychiatrist I'd listen to and abruptly ended our call. She did not warn me some interactions when I brought this up she was not apologetic at all and instead used a very combative defensive tone. Over prescribes and did not seem to be considerate of risks of tapering and overlap. Sessions last maybe 15 min to 40 at most. Exercised epistemic privilege and did not seem receptive to seeing patient as a collaborator or source of knowledge on their experiences or conditions.

Just didn't mesh with me. I need a person with a more caring personality and one that delves into the whole picture instead of just offering meds. It would have saved me from a year of nightmare drugs. She is not a bad person, just an ineffective psychiatrist. Her secretary does most of the work and that is who you have 95% of your contact with.

Is new and young and needs more experience with what she claims she specializes in. Does not listen to what the patient is saying! Unwilling to fill out FMLA paperwork that is required to be on file at work.

In truth, i am the worst patient any doctor can have. Dr. Mansoor is so gentle and unassuming--exceptionally well informed, that i have yet had the need to question or evaluate her effectiveness. I worked for many years with doctors in hospital settings. Dr. Mansoor is a very careful listener and tells me the whole truth. When i need to provide information at an appointment, and speaking it would cause a problem, I write down everything i have to say--and her reading is my appt.HIGHLY RECOMMEND
