Your trust is our top concern.

We strive to keep reviews honest, trustworthy, and fair.

Doctors can not pay for good reviews, nor can they pay to have negative reviews removed.

We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.

All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

Dr. Datta has the worst bedside manner. She is extremely rude and impatient. Did not treat myself or my daughter with care or compassion. Would not recommend unless you enjoy being made to feel defensive and vulnerable.

Finally Diagnosed and being treated
After sustaining a traumatic brain injury which went undiagnosed for months, I was in pain and suffering and felt hopeless. I was living but had no quality of life. Depression was setting in. I started going from one neurologist to another without ever getting diagnosed or treated. I finally turned to NYU , who put me in the hands of Dr. Shae Datta who immediately diagnosed me and started treating me. I know I have a very long recovery ahead , but I now know I am finally in the right hands. I am forever grateful to her for saving my life.

She gets results
I’ve seen a few neurologists; Dr. Datta is hands-down the best. She grasps the big picture of what’s going on with me, while she’s also laser-focused on the priority issues that most impede my recovery. She analyzes and synthesizes complex information about you and comes up with a protocol that is catered to your condition and needs. Her intense focus and ability to synthesize data, along with her foundational knowledge and experience of best practices, can lead to significant results if you follow her instructions. When a treatment isn’t working for me, she reassesses and figures out a new path forward. Dr. Datta gets right to the point and uses our time efficiently, which I appreciate: clarity is critical to understanding how to get better. She gets results: if there’s something that can be done for you, she’ll find it.

An Ok doctor
Dr Datta is an ok doctor. I expected her to be more knowledgeable about concussion. When I told her about my balance issues 5 months post concussion, she said she wasn't sure if it was related to post concussion even though another neurologist and PCP said it is. She said MRI was normal so balance issue not from post concussion. She sent me to vestibular therapy and then said 'If that doesn't help, then I don't know'

Dr. Datta is very competent, kind and caring.
Dr. Datta has been very helpful to me in dealing with migraine headaches as well as more general pain and memory issues. She takes time to explain things and is gentle with administering treatments, especially injections.

Concussion Specialist
Dr. Datta is a specailist with concussions. It might be difficult to get an initial appointment, but ask to be put on a waiting list. She is WORTH the the wait. She is so attentive. She listens to what you have to say. If you need a question on "my chart", she quickly responds. I have been with her for over a year dealing with a concussion and having covid direcly after so she has been working with me on two counts. Dr. Datta will explain in detail what is happening to your brain often using a model and talking in ways you can understand. I cannot say enough about her. If you have had a concussion, Dr. Datta is the doctor you want to see.

I have been seeing Dr Datta for nearly a year after having COVID and prior to finding her I went to five (5) other Neurologist none of which could find or treat my symptoms properly meaning I felt misdiagnosed. It was not until I met Dr Datta that I finally felt that I truly found the one Neurologist that new what was going on with me. She knew why I was getting the headaches that I was getting, and where they were coming from . Finally, I got the help that I needed to get and some relief from the problem that was causing my pain while other doctors were saying it was post COVID blah blah blah...NOT SO. Still a work in progress. But thank God for Dr Datta and her expertise and professionalism. I am so pleased with her work I referred my adult daughter to Dr Datta. I will continue to see Dr Datta for ever as long as I can for my health she is the best.
