Dr. Shaanta Hanagud, MD

Doctor Hanagud is very knowledgeable, listens well, and understands and respects my point of view. She always takes plenty of time with me. I appreciate that she suggests alternative ways to help with any issues before going to drugs as a last resort.

I highly appreciate her experience and problem solve expertise. I saw Dr. Hanagud in 2011. She ordered a couple simple blood tests and confirmed my chronic condition based on her working experience in Hawaii while a specialist couldn't figured out after many visits and blood tests. I intended to stay with Dr. Hanagud however my insurance from my employer didn't have the Kaiser option anymore the following gyear. I will go back to her again once I have Kaiser. I will definitely recommend her to my friends. Thank you very much, Dr. Hanagud!

She is distracted and unconcerned. There are mirrors in the exam room and every time I look at her she's looking at herself in the mirror. I feel like she really doesn't take me seriously.

I have never had a less thorough check up. There was no breast exam, no pap, no pelvic exam. In fact, I was told to leave my clothes on, which I think is abnormal for a doctor's visit. I will never go back to her, she clearly does not like being a doctor.

Dr. Hanagud pulled out her personal cell phone during my consultation, which I assume is why she incorrectly noted the dosage of my antidepressant as half of what I have been taking for over twenty years. I am still trying to get things worked out with the pharmacy so I can receive my regular dosage.
