Dr. Sevitlana Safaei, MD

My experience with this provider was uncomfortable and unprofessional. She began the session with her camera off, which set a detached tone. I had initially sought Teladoc for a simple prescription refill from my previous psychiatrist. Instead, she gave a confusing explanation, claiming doctors could only prescribe one medication due to “new company policies,” which contradicted my prior experience, where another doctor prescribed multiple medications that same day. When I asked why this was different, she stated vaguely that “some doctors follow it and some don’t.” This response felt dismissive. She eventually filled the prescription hours later but limited it to a 20-day supply, despite it being standard acne medication. She then asked to explain why I needed it in a manner that felt patronizing, as I was only asking for a refill. The interaction was frustrating, inconsistent, and the most bizarre experience I’ve had with a doctor.

She was very unprofessional, didn't introduce herself correctly, didn't sound like a docto at all, she had her camera off and was eating while talking to her family in her language and didn't give me any good explanation and asked me to follow up with a doctor as if she wasn't a doctor.

I have a very bad experience with her. She is so aggressive and harsh.I would never ever recommend her.

She was not understanding of my needs and didn’t help me feel better with my pain. Whatever I said it was just a no for her. A doctor should be helpful and understanding of her patients and this was not it.

I recently had my first visit with Dr Safaei and I must say it was an exceptionally positive experience. Doctor is incredibly patient and took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt at ease.Dr SAFAEI listened attentively to all my concerns and answered each question with great detail and clarity. Their approach was not rushed; instead, they ensured I fully understood my health situation and the recommended steps forward. This level of care and dedication is rare to find.What stood out the most was Doctor ability to make complex medical information easy to understand. They used simple language and practical examples, which made me feel informed and confident….

Omg what are all these negative reviews. She is the best. She saved my life. I wish I could find her. She just disappeared. I would go to her in a heartbeat.

I enjoyed Dr. Safai. She listened and addressed all my concerns. She also personally called me with any test results and counseled me on proper treatment options. I’m sad she is no longer with Hoag.

Dr. Safai got very angry when I questioned her about not having my medication or my updated pneumonia vaccines information. She walked out of the room and shut the door loudly. My last contact with her

Worse experience I’ve EVER had with any doctor out of Hoag. She was filling in for our PCP, Dr Creamer. She has no compassion, bed side manner. She obviously doesn’t care about her patients or anyone’s else’s patients. I would not ever recommend her to anyone or my dog!!!! Giving her a 1 star is more than what she deserves Dr Maile Creamer, DO is wonderful! We have seen her since 2015 and has a very caring, compassionate, personality. Truly cares about her patients and will only refer to the best specialist.

She took very little time to ask questions and understand my condition and appeared rush. No introduction when she came in

For years, Dr. Safaei was my mother's primary care physician. In my opinion: Is Safaei a capable MD? Yes. Does she come across as arrogant and with a lack of compassionate bedside manner? Also yes. Most importantly, is Safaei responsive to patient needs? Absolutely not. Latest example? I recently left her two urgent messages regarding hospice care for my mother, and she didn't provide the professional courtesy of even returning either of my phone calls during this difficult time-even after several days. Bottom line, there are many amazing doctors in the Hoag Network and I strongly recommend that you explore those other doctors.

Dr. Safaei is very knowledgeable, always engaging and a great listener. I have always had a great experience on my office visits with her and her treatment plan has been spot on.

Cares very little for her patients. Her time is precious, however yours is not. I mostly speak with the PAs and I’m lucky to get five minutes of her time (after waiting for 45+). I’ve seen her for six years and she still doesn’t know who I am. She frequently walks in the room reading a chart with the wrong info. She’s going through motions and making sure you do what you have to so she can keep her med license.

Dr. Safaei was great on diagnoses, caring, follow-up and went above and beyond in her care.

Dr. Safaei spends little time or effort getting to know her patient. Very vague Lost all confidence as a result of her lack of care or concern. Which later was diagnose from another Dr. as potential life threatening illness.

She is nice. But when give you very little diagnosis information and is not very helpful. Very vague.
