I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis in 2018. I saw Dr. Aliyeva after I moved to Waldorf, Md. in 2021 to 2023 time frame. She prescribed my medication. In this period, I learned I had lyme disease and that Hashimotos was caused by the lyme. Dr. Aliyeva refused to even entertain this idea and was just messing around with my meds trying to get something to stick so that I would find relief from my symptoms of hypothyroid. So, I stopped seeing her and started lyme treatment. It is now two years later, and my TPO has come down from 216 to 43 and is almost normal. The rest of my thyroid markers are normal and I have been off my thyroid meds for 9 months. I am not cured from Lyme, but I am in remission and I hope to keep it that way. If you want a doctor who actually looks into helping you, Dr. Aliyeva is not the doctor for you. She wants you to just stay on medication. Hashimoto's does not "just happen" like doctors tell you. It is OFTEN the result of the body fighting an infection that has not yet been identified. Make sure you look for the root cause, because Dr. Aliyeva will not.

Excellent
Dr. Aliyeva was very caring. She listened attentively and genuinely wanted to know about all of my symptoms. She focused on the now and long term. It has been a long time since I have seen a doctor that like her. I wish more doctors were like her.

knowledgeable and thorough, she was well-prepped with my medical case file when I came to see her, asked good questions about the condition I was there to see her about and what I was experiencing, and devised a long-term care of plan based on her questions and her experience. Very good experience. Highly recommend her.
