Right thumb basal joint ligament reconstruction
Dr. Frensen was very professional, examined my thumb, explained surgery thoroughly. He was very personable making sure I understood everything. I had many questions and concerns but all were answered during his explanation of procedure. The surgery was a success. Recovery was as described. Highly recommend this fine physician. The office is very warm and friendly as is the doctor.

Wonderful and respectful
Dr. Frenzen gave me my livelihood back, I couldn't do anything i enjoyed anymore. He has time and time again helped me with my hands and listened where others did not. He is respectful and understanding and is clear about what expectations should be.

Bob
Saw Dr Frenzen for a 2nd opinion and was pleasantly surprised at his friendly attitude and patience. He carefully explained the procedure he would use to correct the arthritis and pain in my hand/wrist. His positive outlook was reassuring. Now that the surgery is over, I am so happy I made the decision to go with him. His staff also was very friendly and helpful.

I saw Dr Frenzen for pain in my lower wrist. It was the pisaform bone. I had an accident and injured it so he said he could remove it without causing nerve problems to other fingers. He did the surgery and told my husband it went like clock work, no problems. The truth is he CUT my ULNAR NERVE which caused my fingers to loose their mobility and i had severe muscle atrophy. When i told him about this during the healing time he kept saying it was just caused from swelling on the nerve and denied he could have cut the nerve when I asked. My OT person suspected it was cut and contacted the doctor's office with her concerns but she never heard back and neither did I. After 5 months, my hand was totally weak. Dr. Frenzen said I needed more surgery to decompress a nerve down the center of my hand. WRONG! I got a second opinion. I had a hand specaiist in Boston do nerve grafting to the ulnar nerve, just in time 6 month mark. Boston Dr. knew upon sight that my ulnar nerve was cut and acted.

After my initial surgery with Seth frenzen I had continued pain a year post op and when we discussed some neuropathy that was verified to exist from a nerve test he basically said I could try a cortisone shot but if that didn't help he had nothing else to offer me and that I needed to learn to live with my chronic pain. I found him arrogant and rude and very dismissive of my pain. He's treating me as if I'm seeking pain medication when in reality I didn't even take any of the pain meds I was given after my surgery. I just want resolution to my current pain. I would not recommend anyone to go to see dr. Frenzen. He told me that I shouldn't be in pain still, so that must mean I'm faking it right? I am seeking a second opinion from a more reputable surgeon as I feel that my concerns are not being addressed and I shouldn't have to live with chronic pain that can be resolved with treatment.

Dr. Seth Frenzen, treated me as if he was superior to me in many ways. He snapped at me when I didn't answer his questions the way he wanted them answered and told me I wasn't listening to anything he was saying when I asked questions and explained my injury. Turns out, I have been diagnosed with a life threatening illness that has caused multiple injuries Dr. Frenzen missed completely. I would not recommend Dr. Frenzen to anyone, he is a disgrace.

I have had 2 surgeries with Dr. Frenzen over the last 8 months. One was for a badly injured middle finger that became infected. The second procedure was Ulnar Decompression of my left elbow. He came highly recommended and I did my research before seeing him. I was very impressed by Dr. Frenzen's humble personality and expertise as a surgeon. After both procedures I was given pain meds but rarely used them. Dr. Frenzen is a magician with a scalpel and an all around good guy. See him first.
