Excellent ENT
Dr Dailey is a kind, patient, knowledgeable Provider who gave me dozens of injections into my vocal chords for spasmodic dysphonia over many years every 4 months. I also worked at UW Hospital for almost 20 years, and was always impressed with this Dr.

So kind
Dr. Dailey was so pleasant and affirming. He was still professional and clinical. I guess some people might have seen the visit as slightly rushed, but I saw it more as keeping on topic and being efficient. He listened to all my concerns and asked me lots of questions. At one point he used a camera to see my throat. Later, when talking about treatment options, he mentioned that I seemed anxious during the aforementioned camera thingy and therefore he would recommend having my particular procedure in the operating room under GA instead of in clinic. So I really appreciated that attentiveness and advice. I've historically really hated having male doctors. They're mean. But this one is not.

Pompous Dr. who treats his patients like idiots
Dr. Dailey was very condescending. He acted like my concerns/questions were stupid, and he made me feel like a mom who is acting crazy about her kid. The reality is that my teenage daughter has a runny nose with a nagging cough that has been going on for nearly a year and significantly impacts her life. We were just trying to get the bottom it. Along the way, she was diagnosed with asthma (which we are skeptical about), had seen an allergist, and had been on several courses of antibiotics. So far nothing has helped. Not surprisingly, I had some questions about what might be going on. Dr. Dailey acted like a stereotypical doctor who thinks his degree makes him better than everyone else...or maybe it's just women/moms. Even my daughter noticed his gross, demeaning behavior. I have a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and know something about the body. I didn't tell him this, but I shouldn't have had to. He should respect his patients regardless. I'd avoid him at all costs.

Laryngologists are very difficult to find and a well trained skilled one is even harder to find. Dr. Dailey is not only highly skilled but he is compassionate and has a good sense of humor. I have unilateral vocal cord paralysis and have worked with him for four years. I recommend him to everyone. I appreciate his approach of looking forward to what can be done and what will give the best result. I would never hesitate to recommend him to anyone and in fact recommend him all the time!
