Paperwork I completed online was not done. Very impersonal environment. Physician was friendly, but opinionated regarding meds which did not involve pain meds, etc. Did not really listen to history of why I was in the office. I have been trying to get my medication for 2 weeks with no return call or Rx at the pharmacy. Will be looking for another Doc.

The verdict is not in yet. I have a follow up visit soon. I hope it goes better. Dr Turchin needs better bedside manners. Most of his time was spent writing notes. I got the impression he was not interested in what I had to say. Hopefully my first impression was wrong. I come from an old school doctor who was my doctor for 35 years, Great Doctor. Great bedside manners.
Sorry he retired. Dr Turchin said he is new school and if I wasn't happy then I needed to find another doctor.

We have found Dr. Turchin to be very caring about our health and general well-being. He is not a doctor who will send you home to take two aspirin an to wait and see what happens. He is aggressive as a diagnostician and seems gleefully eager to get to the bottom of what's wrong an fix it quickly. He takes a team approach with other specialists, they all share their findings, this practice is where you want to be! We are not related to Dr. Turchin! He's just that good!

Had my first visit with Dr. Turchin yesterday after having to leave Island Doctors because I switched from Humana to FHCA insurance. I found him to be attentive and thorough. He asked lots of questions and made copious notes. I am looking forward to a follow up visit in 10 days to review the results of my blood work. I think I found a better more caring physician than I had with Island Doctors. They were all about procedures and billing. BTW I got an email recap of my visit an hour after I left.

He takes the time to discuss test results, always unhurried and attentive. He is very up to date with the latest research results and acts on them. I have used him for six years and am happy with his practice.
Having said that, I do not trust any one opinion with respect to serious conditions i.e. cancer. I get second opinions.
