Substandard Care
He provided a minor surgery for my wife and ignored pre test information, which my wife provided him in writing. He also ignored my wife's, and my concerns. Failure to listen and pay attention to cautionary notes resulted in my wife nearly dying. She required multiple surgeries/procedures, once we got her away from him, and these were thankfully accomplished Tampa General. She was NPO and on a feeding tube for 100 days. We didn't know if she would live or ever eat again. 46 days in intensive care at TGH. All of this could have been prevented if Dr. Jean had even slightly been patient centered and professional

Dr. Jean and his team know their stuff
Dr. Jean helped find a large Nadal polyp that was preventing me from sleeping without significant snoring. The first visit's examination found the problem, we scheduled subsequent imaging to see the size and quantity and developed an action plan. Dr. Jean has a direct communication style which gets the point. I appreciated this as it makes sure that important stuff is not mixed in with small talk. Thank you Dr. Jean and team!

Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to explain all aspects of care to my father-in-law. He is hard of hearing and I appreciated the use of laymen's terms and your patience. As a provider, I can honestly note that you exceeded my expectation for compassionate care.

Dr. Jean not only has outstanding credentials, but also is an excellent clinician and communicator. He is the expert, and I, being one who asks questions, waited to hear his assessment and plan before I posed questions, which he welcomed and fully answered. He is open, honest, easy to engage in dialog, and he provides great eye contact. He's a wonderful physician, and in my critical opinion, the few negative reviews I saw here are completely unfounded.

He did surgery on my mothers jaws because of jaw necrosis from taking prolia for her stage 4 bone cancer and now her mouth is even worse and she is too sick to get more surgery, her mouth was never fixed in the first place and she had it done twice, now she suffers from that pain and non stop draining everyday on top of everything else she's going through. Would not recommend him

Dr Jean was extremely caring and spent a great deal of time with us for my daughter’s appointment. He was thorough with explanations and very knowledgeable. He asked many questions and discussed options and further testing. I recommended him to a friend who was also very satisfied with the treatment she received from him and his staff. He was very caring and attentive, even calling her personally to address questions she had.

Dr Jean is rude, never listened. Called my mother fat and said maybe if you got off the couch every so often. I had to convince her to go see another Dr and sure enough found out she has an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid. If he would have listened he could have found it. Dr Patel found out her issue and we were able to work on getting her better. My mom wasn't that heavy even.

Have had a few visits with this doctor, took out my sons tonsils and adenoids and put ear tubes in. I think his knowledge is good, unfortunately he is impossible to communicate with effectively. Seems to have a big chip on his shoulder, full of bravado and arrogance. Will not listen to or answer parents concerns. At times treats both his patient and parent as if they are not in the room, therefore overall have a lack of trust in him as a doctor.

I was extremely disappointed with Dr. Serge Jean. I waited over two hours and then he spent 10 minutes to say he did not think I had a problem. He was very unprofessional, taking cell phone calls during our 10 minute visit and he did not explain anything. He referred me to a Neurologist for my recurring headaches and sinus infections. He also said if there is no resolution with the Neurologist to come back and he can do surgery. No chance I will ever return to this doctor!

Went to see Dr J. for a growth on my mouth. He was >45 late, dismissed my concern on the growth with condescending attitude. He scoped the back of my throat. Took <1 min and said: you've a discoloration, a growth lets get a CAT scan ($$) and possibly a biopsy. Got the feeling he was trying to milk my ins. with unnecessary procedures. Got a second opinion, much better ENG spent 30 min exploring (did not tell her about Dr. J)...found nothing. Do not trust Dr. Jean at all. Watson clinic sucks.

Dr. Jean met with me in the hospital when I was admitted for severe tonsillitis, i was having complications due to being auto-immune and having a suppressed immune system. He met with me way after hours just to make sure i was alright. He assured me we would need to remove my tonsils and gave me a plan as far are getting rid of the infection prior to surgery. He was kind and compassionate. I met with his practitioner 2 weeks later and was scheduled surgery. My surgery went perfectly. Trust him

This was the worst experience I have ever encountered with a doctor at Watson clinic. We had a attitude from the start saying that I wasn't referred to him well I pay extra premiums so i don't have to be referred to a specialist I can just choose one Also charge me for things that he did not do would not recommend him at all did not solve any of the issues I had and had

Dr. Jean treated my husband while he was in LRMC. Dr. Jean was very informative. He was the first doctor to round on him in the morning and the last to see him in the evening. He is very thorough. He took the time to explain things and answer our questions. We are both very greatful to Dr. Jean as my husband is immunosuppressed and a difficult case to treat. I do regret that we can't continue to see him due to insurance limitations. I would recommend him to everyone needing an ENT.

Dr Jean is absolutely amazing. I had been seeing a different ENT for 2 years with no answers what so ever to my problem. They just didn't LISTEN to what i was trying to tell them. At a friends recommendation I made an appointment with Dr. Jean, he instantly listened and had an idea of what was going on. He hit it right on and it was no where near what the other ENT was telling me. He is a physician because he truly cares about people and finding the root cause to their issues.

I went back to Dr. Jean for a tonsillectomy / adenoidectomy in Sept. 2016 It went flawlessly. I've healed up beautifully and he even trimmed down what was once an unsightly, long, uvula that frequently caused me to gag. I never thought to mention it to him previously, but he caught it and took care of it during surgery. It's perfect now. Four months later, I'm no longer having any of my previous issues. I'm very happy with my results and I've recommended him to my friends. Thank you Dr. Jean!

Dr. Jean is the WORST doctor I have ever been to at Watson Clinic, which usually has fantastic doctors. He had a bad attitude from the beginning of the visit, acted arrogantly, refused to let me ask questions, and repeatedly asked why I was there. He then snapped at me and said my primary doc was wrong to send me to him. He didn't examine me, look at my scan, or read the report. He said to follow up in a month. I didn't. Instead, I made an appt w/an ENT at another clinic who was SO MUCH nicer.

He was condescending and short with me. I was referred to him and have since told my referring doctor of the poor treatment I received. I went in with headaches and hoarseness. There was no discussion of what could be wrong, only blindly tossed out options of surgery, sending me to classes to teach me speak with this new voice and then offered to cut out the enlarged lymph nodes in my neck that are part of another condition. Will never go back and would NEVER recommend.
