I can be a difficult patient. I am stubborn and think I know what is best for me. That can be a problem dealing with any Doctor. The real question is whether or not the Doctor is listening or cares. Although Doctor Tas and I have disagreed on the next steps or correct course of action at times, either he or I have given way to the other depending on the situation. Having a health care provider that considerers the patient as a person and not just a set of statistics makes a real difference in achieving the best outcome for the patient as an individual. Don't be a number. Find a caring, thoughtful, compassionate professional highly skilled at their specialty but also human.

I was very fortunate that Dr. Tas happened to be at the hospital when I arrived in the ER on a Sunday night. He explained all of my options, exactly how the surgery would be done, and what to expect post operatively. He was kind, compassionate and answered all of my questions which really put my mind at ease. My surgery went very well with minimal pain after. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Tas without hesitation!

A couple of yrs ago I was suffering abdominal pain. So much so I went to the ER. Northside Hospital dismissed me as a drug seeker! I was admitted to Largo Med. For nearly 2 weeks they ran every test possible. All came back clear. Dr Tas came to see me & told me even though my tests were negative, I was symptomatic & he believed it was my gallbladder. Pathology showed cholecystitis?! My prior pain was literally gone after surgery! Thank you Dr Tas for believing my pain was real! You're amazing!

I went to Morton Plant in clearwater h bladder problems. Turns out I had to have it out. I was in waiting room for surgery with an 2 hours of me coming into the ER. Dr Tas came into to room amd made me feel super comfortable, even cracking jokes. Made me feel 100% safe and explained everything from surgery, recovery room then how i would feel afterwards. He then came to see me afterwards to check on me. Thank you Dr Tas!

Could not ask for a better surgeon! He really thinks and care for his patients. After my husband who is young and healthy was admitted from the ER, Dr. Tas was our assigned surgeon at Morton Plant. He was able to remove an obstruction without removing any bowel or parts of the intestiens leaving my husband with a much easier short term recovery and a MUCH better long term outlook. He also has a great bedside manner which seems to be rare these days. Thanks Dr. Tas.

He is a miracle worker. He performed an emergency abdominal surgery that most surgeons would not be able to perform and saved her life. He saved as much of her organs as possible. He continued to work for hours to save her. If it wasn't for him she wouldn't be alive. I could not thank him enough.
