Dr. Sebastian Lighvani, MD

I had a terrible experience with Dr Sebastian Lighvani. He was dismissive and pompous. The day before my appointment, which included preparation for testing, I reached out with questions. At my appointment the following day, he described my questions as “ridiculous” and belittled my concerns. This man was actually eating lunch in front of me while I sat in his office. I do not appreciate being treated as if I am wasting a doctor’s time. I am a Senior Vice President at one of the city’s largest private equity firm’s. If I have time, so does he. I absolutely recommend Dr. Toh. She is wonderful as is the office staff.

Dr. Lighvani is noticeably absent from his allergy practice. After a cursory zoom visit and a disinterested five minute face-to-face, his allergy patients are turned over to his capable immunology associate Patti. There is no follow up with the doctor at all. One wonders why it is his name in the practice. The office is run efficiently and there is rarely a long wait.

I came under Dr. Sebastian Lighvani’s care soon after I ended up in the emergency room after a training run with what turned out to be adult onset asthma. Dr. Lighvani did a battery of tests and developed a medication and immunotherapy program overseen by Patti that quickly got my condition under control and had me running and ready for the NYC Marathon in no time. The pleasant and highly-efficient office managed by Karen makes the allergy shots fast and easy. When I developed pneumonia after traveling overseas, the entire team immediately made time available in a fully-booked day to get me the tests and treatment I needed. I could not feel more cared for and I highly recommend Dr. L and his entire team.

Great care, and a wonderful staff. It's always fast and easy to get an appointment convenient to my schedule. The staff is very friendly, and works very efficiently, with almost no waiting time, ever.

The office of Dr. Lighvani is one of the best I have worked with in my may years of seeing doctors and allergists. Dr. Lighvani knowledge is impressive. He is creative and intelligent and takes the time to know and understand his patients. His is also a nice person which can sometimes be a challenge with great doctors. And his professionalism extends to his entire office. His staff is caring, efficient and informative. I have never had to wait long for my appointment time and getting an allergy shot is seamless. I highly recommend him.

I saw Dr Lighvani for a chronic cough, after seeing many other specialists first. He was very knowledgeable, and took a lot of time to sit down with me and really understand my history of symptoms and come up with a plan of action, rather than just assuming he knew what it was and throwing a prescription at me. Highly recommend!

This is a terrific place for expert allergy diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Lighvani and his staff truly care and they provide excellent patient care that is also respectful of patients’ time and finances. They respond to questions in a timely manner and help educate patients so the best results can be achieved.

I can’t say enough good things about doctor Lighvani and his staff. My little boy and I been coming here for years now, and it’s always a pleasant experience. Everyone is so thoughtful and professional. The facility is always clean. I highly recommend!

Attentive, friendly, and most of all, my allergy symptoms are under control and my quality of life has improved astronomically since becoming a patient of Dr. Lighvani.

ROCK STAR. Dr Lighvani is the best allergist. I went to him with 15 percent lung function. in 30 days it was 85 percent. I am far from done but it is comforting to have him in my corner. He gives you the time to review all options. Great Bedside manner. The staff is wonderfull also. Very helpful. On my second visit they knew my name. Dr Lighvani leads a great team of professionals.

He is very thorough. He listens and explains things well. He's an excellent doctor.
