Doesn’t mess around
Dr Pfeffer wants to, immediately, get to the root of the problem, & tries to make things happen, STAT. In order for insurance to cover anything there were several hoops & avenues I had to venture down. Dr Pfeffer moved quickly through the mandatory steps; although he wanted to go straight to the root. I appreciated his concern & patience with me as navigated through difficult insurance requirements & my pain. He and his team went above & beyond.

He's very unprofessional in my opinion(doctor). He showed little compassion and had a horrible bedside manner.(example) When I was in terrible pain I asked him to set up an MRI, first thing outta his mouth was "will ur insurance cover it" why would a doc worry more about cost instead of the patient. I went to have a second opinion turns out I have Sciatica from hip to foot on right side. I recieved a letter from him yesterday stating he was no longer my doctor. Good riddance is my thoughts, he never did anything for me just wrote out scripts. My last comment, thoughts,is that he's very uncaring, aren't doc's suppose to truthful honest & show just a little compassion

Absolutely will not recommend this doctor. Because he failed to give me a proper exam, he missed my prostate cancer and based everything on my PSA levels. Guess what “Doc”. PSA levels are not a tell all. I may not be stage IV right now if you would have actually checked and not just put me on meds to shrink a cancerous prostate.

Dr. Pfeffer has been very helpful! He is good about remembering personal things & making sure my visit is not “all business”... but also pays close attention to my medical needs. His office staff seems very organized & I never have any trouble getting a clear answer to any of my questions. I recommend Joplin Primary Care to all my family and friends.

I wouldn't recommend. I saw Pfeffer nearly 2 yrs and finally saw he wasn't helpin he wasn't tracking my thyroid testing, I ask for 3 specific blood test for mold testing recommended by the Mayo Clinic since my apt. was full of black mold and he would only do 2 and not the one for toxic ions . I told them He wasn't helping me and not up to par on many suggestions. They sent me a release form and said effective 30 days so I ask for a refill on my meds and he refused me. I understand it's the law and I ask for the prescriptions before the 30 days were up. Aetna even called his office asking him and they refused. How dirty of him, his feelings got hurt putting himself before his patient. Nurse suggested I go to ER. Great ! More people more infection and no protection. I can't find a doctor who will do a phone call when I am 69, compromised immune system; they are not using masks and gloves for the most part. I had an appt. with another doc when I quit Pfeffer but it didn't work out.

Dr Pfeffer is quick to prescribe medication. He overreacts to lab results and readings such as blood pressure checks and will immediately advise in taking medication. I asked if there was anything I could do to help my situation and he stated that there was basically nothing and proceeded to write a prescription. I never filled the prescription and started watching my diet and exercising and got a clean bill of health from other doctors. DO NOT go to this doctor!!!

My criticism is more with the Doctor's front office staff, but since you have to go thru them to get to the doctor, they are a very important consideration. Visit #1, office changed my apt 3 times, girl chewed us out for not keeping appt. but we were there on time. Missed appt. #3, out of town on business, pharmacy called to have sleeping pill refilled...office refused. I called the office & explained the girl told me Everyone is busy, if you can't make time to keep your appt., we wont refill
