Had a colonoscopy screening completed by Dr. McCarthy. Initial scheduling was very thorough with multiple communications to ensure I new what to expect. I spoke to nurse prior to procedure twice and they very kindly answered all my questions. Day of screening the entire staff was professional, friendly and kept me informed. Dr. McCarthy met with me prior to and after procedure. The team is thorough and by the book. Following business day, I received a follow up call from office to ensure I was doing well. Very rare to find this level of service and experience.

My gastroenterologist recently retired, he recommended I utilize Dr. McCarthy going forward. I had a follow up appointment after my recent colonoscopy, he and his assistant Hannah were excellent. Very friendly, professional and I was totally informed and satisfied with the treatment plan Dr. McCarthy initiated.

My gastroenterology doctor of over 40 years retired. He recommended Dr. McCarthy at OhioGastro. I am very glad he did. I underwent both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy on January 6th 2023. The support staff was excellent and the procedures went quite well. I appreciated the detailed after procedure report which addressed my concerns. The facilities are excellent. I highly recommend this Physician and the Facilities on Olentangy River Road.

This was my first visit with Dr. McCarthy. Check-in was a breeze and I was seen immediately after entering the exam room. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and professional. Dr. McCarthy was familiar with my history and offered choices for treatment. We discussed the different pros and cons and decided on a plan. Dr. McCarthy showed concern and empathy for my condition. I felt an active participant instead of a case study. I would highly recommend Dr. McCarthy.

Poor follow up. Gave me the run around over and over, after doing their expensive and troublesome procedure. Seemed to me they only wanted to unnecessary colonoscopies and endoscopies instead of figuring out what my problem really is. I absolutely do not recommend.
