Dr. Sean Garrity, MD

On October 7, 2024, I had the unfortunate situation of having a detached retina. I went to my eye doctor at Catalina Eye Care and they immediatly were able to get me into Retina Associates. The doctor on-call was Dr. Sean Garrity. Dr. Garrity did my detached retina procedure. Dr. Garrity was very kind and patient with me. I was grateful that he was able to do this emergency procedure on my eye. Thank you, Dr. Garrity.

Dr. Garrity performed cataract surgery on my right eye on October 31, 2022. At my November 1, 2022 appointment I told him that my eye was extremely blurry and I that I could not see. He told me to "give it time". I met with him on 11/8/2022, 12/1/2022 and he told me that "i might need glasses". I went to Dr. Murphy (optometrist) five different times and he could not fit me with contacts or glasses. I met with Dr. Husz on 3/16/2023 and she also said that she could not fit me with contacts. I then met with D. who verified that my lens was put in INCORRECTLY and was FOLDED, MAKING MY VISION IMPOSSIBLE. Dr.Ajay Sanan arranged for me to see Dr. Mark Walsh who verified that the lens was folded causing my blindness. He agreed to place a FOURTH lens into my right eye. This surgery was performed on August 10, 2023. I was able to get most of my eyesight back in my right eye with the new lens. To this day (2/11/2-25) I have received NO monetary compensation for the one whole year that I could not see out of my right eye. Blind for one whole year and no monetary compensation.
