Dismissive During Appointment
I cannot recommend Dr. Tiplitsky. When I had my appointment, he repeatedly told me that I wasn't in pain and shouldn't be experiencing pain, which was not only dismissive but also inaccurate. He didn’t take the time to properly communicate with me or ask the necessary questions to understand my concerns. Fortunately, I was able to find a different doctor who was much more compassionate and attentive, and I felt genuinely cared for.

Smart, Humorous, Normal
Dr. Tiplitsky is a very smart, decisive physician and uses humor to help the patient relax. His office and nurses were also friendly, efficient and competent. Hope i dont come back, but if you need services he is the best!

Unaccommodating
The doctor had a rather rushed attitude and displayed a "doom & gloom" attitude in regard to life in general. I'm sure this is no reflection on his ability as a urologist.

I’m 64 yrs old with enlarged prostate (BPH) for over 20 yrs. My prostate was 96 grams and I had to pee about 20 times a day as I could not empty my bladder. I was on Finasteride and Doxazosin for years. In September 2020, Dr Tiplitsky performed a surgery called THULEP, which is better than TURP or even HOLEP and it removed over 50% of my prostate. The laser Cauterizes as it cuts and thus much less bleeding and catheter time. Surgery took 1 hour with general anesthesia and I stayed in hospital one day and catheter was removed after 2 days. Bleeding lasted for about 10 days. It has been over a month since my surgery and I pee like an 18 year old and stopped all medications and have none of the possible side effects (incontinence or erectile dysfunction). It is supposed to last over 15 years. I wish I had done it years ago. I am super happy and very grateful to Dr Tiplitsky

Dr. Scott Tiplitski has been treating me for 6 months for severe ED due to a penile fracture. I had sought him out knowing that he was one of the few Doctors around IL who is accomplished in performing penile implants. He has been great since day one and must be quite the expert as my surgery and the recovery after has been easy compared to what I have researched for the last 2 years. I had considered traveling to see a so called "rock star" implant surgeon out of state but am so grateful to have made the decision to go with Dr. Tiplitski who was right in my back yard. After years of research and discussing this operation with people who had gone through it nationally, I can genuinely say that my results have been in the top 95 percentile at lease. I trust this Dr. implicitly and am grateful as he has changed my life.

Kept interrupting me, thus couldn't complete my sentence. Displayed little concern & wanted to get me in & out as quickly as possible. Made one slightly inappropriate joke that was a bit off-putting while I was attempting to describe my symptoms. Also don't like how their online registration system requests to store your credit card information & requests to send you advertising and other promotional e-mails after sharing your medical history with other companies. Won't be returning.
