If I could give him 0 stars I would!! My husband was sent to GVH emergency room by an Urgent Care office to obtain a CAT scan. We already had gone through other tests at the UC. The doctor at UC just wanted to cover all the bases on his case. Dr. Slagel repeated all the same tests the UC doc performed and then was going to send us home WITHOUT THE SCAN, because he "disagreed with UC Doc orders that my husband needed it". I insisted on the scan because I trusted the UC doctor's review at her office. He said he'll do it, but he disagreed, again. Well, not 10 minutes after my husband was done, Dr. Slagel came back and said to us "I'm glad you insisted because your husband has a brain tumor and we are sending him straight to LVHN for surgery." NO APOLOGIES, NOTHING! We saw nothing of him again, my husband had the surgery and is now undergoing chemo and radiation treatments. Today we get a bill for $982!!!! Good thing I did this doctor's job that day!! Too bad we still have to pay him!
