Initial visit
Dr. Shumway was very patient and explained what was actually going on with my thumb, the visit was short but i left feeling confident in the resolution. Surgery is expected but i have the feeling it will go perfectly with his surgery team behind him.

He's absolutely the best
I've been seeing Dr shumway for years. I've always admired him for many reasons. His manner is very friendly and he cares about you. Even though he's done it a hundred times he still explains carpal tunnel surgery and is patient enough to answer any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend him. His staff is very professional. What else can I say? If you need a hand doctor he's your guy.

Positive experience
It's not often you need a hand surgeon, but I needed one twice. I am grateful that I received a recommendation from a friend. He is very professional and always has a smile on his face. There are undoubtedly other good doctors in the city, but you won't find one that's better.

No I would not. Drake
I waited an hour and 15 min. He evaluated my hand for 2 maybe 3 minutes. I did not feel like he listened to me. He did not look me in the eye. He did not seem to care that the coritizone shot would be and was very painful. He ignored my arm pain. I thought I was referred to him because of the arm pain not just my hand. This is the work comp doctor so I have no choice about treatment providers.
