Knowledgeable, great communicator
Dr. Porter is terrific. Knowledgeable and a good, direct communicator. Very personable. Able to cut through things and get to the bottom line. Very good experience in person as well as good follow-up online. A prompt, thorough written summary of the visit plus an offer for the patient to contact him if any further information is needed. Great experience.

Dr. Porter has recently been referred to our family. His office got us in quickly, made a plan, and got us going. It is never good when you have a family member diagnosed with cancer but I am so grateful Dr. Christian in Greenwood referred us to him. He has gotten my Dad a diagnosis, treatment planned, and GOD willing help in living longer! The office staff is fabulous and we love Ruth Hall who has been a great liason and nurse!

I actually enjoyed my appointment with Dr. Porter. He made me feel comfortable and eased my worries about my knee. He was fun to talk with and I did not feel like he was rushing me through. Dr. Porter, his Resident - Dr. Hunter and the female student working with them answered all of my questions and educated me on important information relating to my knee. I would highly recommend Dr. Porter and his Staff.

Honest, thorough and highly skilled. One of the best physicians that I have ever had the opportunity of knowing. As a pharmacist and someone who has spent a significant amount of time seeing treatments at the Mayo Clinic, this is quite the compliment.

Dr. Porter treated me when I had a very rare form of cancer, a lipo sarcoma, which he removed from my right thigh. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to take care of me at this time of my life. He is very smart, truthful, professional, caring. I hate he was unable to stay in Mississippi, but wish he and his family all the best in South Carolina. If I ever had a rare situation like lipo sarcoma again, I would fly to South Carolina to see him there.
