Worst experience with a doctor Ever!!!
Front desk, and nursing staff is amazing. Dr.Kohlert made me feel like I'm a complete idiot. His bedside manner is poor he was zero help to me. He told me he doesn't know what is causing my problem followed by telling me he can't help me and that if I had Cancer that maybe he could do something. He was very rough on the areas of my neck that are in pain. He dismissed all of the information I was giving him. He also didnt look at any of the information I had sent over with details from my ENT. He left and I was in tears. Needless to say I will never go back. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone and will definitely be looking for a 2nd opinion.

Dr. Kohlert an his team are life savers.
I was referred to Dr. Kohlert for a melanoma spot on my scalp that had almost been let go too long but once diagnosed and I was referred to him. He explained in good detail how we should, and did, navigate the next few steps. Ultimately, I opted to have a skin graft replace the area from the wide excision to remove it. Thankfully, all testing indicates the melanoma was caught before reaching the lymph system or other organs as I understand it. I could not be more grateful for Dr. Kohlert and team for likely saving my life. I highly recommend him.

Great doctor and surgeon
Dr. Kohlert performed my total thyroidectomy in 2020. My incision looks minimal and has healed, I believe, very well. I've had other thyroidectomy patients tell me that they couldn't believe how minimal my scar appears, especially given how large my goiter was. Dr. Kohlert is professional, congenial, and knowledgeable. He communicates in plain language without speaking down to you as a patient. I would recommend Dr. Kohlert to anyone experiencing ENT issues.

Surgical consultation
Dr. Kohlert was very nice and easy to understand. I liked that he was up front and transparent. He is knowledgeable in his field. He treated me with kindness and respect. Dr. Kohlert listened to me and made sure that if I had any questions about my upcoming procedure that he and his staff were there for me. I am still scared to have my thyroidectomy though!

Absolutely, hands-down the best bedside manners of any doctor we’ve encountered from mine and my husband’s experiences in office visits and hospital stays. Takes his time to answer questions, explains things in terms you can understand, and compassionate. He just finished a partial thyroidectomy which was supposed to be a total thyroidectomy, but stopped halfway through because of a concern with my larynx. He will get the rest of it at a later procedure, but I appreciate his caution to make sure my voice is not compromised. I highly recommend him!

Consummate professional physician who was great at educating me about my condition and very attentive after my surgery. Removed my tricky parotid tumor with no facial motor problems afterward. Cannot recommend highly enough. Surgery went so much better and recovery was so much easier than I expected.

in mid January, 2019 i had a cancerous growth removed from my mouth and jaw. Dr. Kohlert was part of the medical team that surgically removed the cancerous tumor and rebuilt my jaw and gums using a flap of skin from my forearm. In addition, while recovering in ICU, D. Kohlert came by during rounds and checked on me and my condition. He is most knowledgeable, clear and concise in his bedside manner, & I would highly recommend him for procedures involving the oral/maxillofacial area. I trust him.
