I've been on a long regime of coming off a long time medication. Dr Hoopes has been very helpful at giving me guidance about each step. I appreciate him and depend on his knowledge. Also Trace always finds an appointment for me if I need an extra session. So grateful.

Had tried several medications and doses with my primary doctor for my symptoms. When I started with Dr. Hoopes, we changed my medication. Over time we added a supplemental medicine. After adjusting these a few times, I expressed my frustration with the medications. I also expressed that I was interested in trying other options. I didn’t feel like my concerns were appropriately addressed, when I was told that seasonal depression could be the reason my medications weren’t working properly. This frustration with the medication has been longer than one season.

He cares about his patients. I trust him with my family. He will do nothing save it be in the best interest of the patient's wellbeing. The best physician that I've seen in decades...

I would never risk putting anyone’s through the hell that Dr. Hoops put me through. He had no sincere care and was more interested in getting kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies than my health. I felt like a guinea pig. I had severe Akethesia for months and he couldn’t help me_ got mad at me for wasting his time. He said “what do you want me to do here?! I would do anything to go back and sue him for malpractice. Maybe I can? This was in 2007.

Excellent physician who cares about you as an individual. He doesn’t like to do a lot of counseling but he does make an accurate diagnosis and puts you on the right medications. Over the years the meds are adjusted. Some work and some don’t. I have been pleased with my care and the staff is awesome.

Excellent Physician. He had helped me over many years. His diagnosis was accurate and the treatment plan has helped. Through the years we have tried a few things. Some work others not. He is efficient. He doesn’t do a lot of counseling or talking as he is more into the medical side if things but he does get you connected to the right people. I love the staff.

After being mis diagnosed and poorly medicated for most my life, Dr Hoopes was able to give me a propper diagnoses as well as managing my meds better than ever before. He is kind and patient as well as empathetic. He is a listener and also is very blunt and strait forward wich is a positive for me. I apprciate his promptness and professionalist. He is an amazing provider.

This nut is a flat out quack! I was in Boise on business for an extended period of time and needed a physician while there. I take an extremely high dosage of medication for adult ADHD, however Dr. hoops wanted to up the dosage even more which he did. After three months I was accused of being a drug attic and he refused to fill any more prescriptions for me. I had to fly home to see my regular physician once a month for the next three months because no doctor would see me. Caution caution!

After considerable amount of time with this doctor no diagnosis was ever definite. The last visit he demonstrated frustration toward my situation , got up and basically dismissed me. I had to seek counsel from another doctor to help me with my symptoms. Won't be back. He lacks compassion.

My coworker and I were both severely misdiagnosed and miserable for many months. Our lives only got better once we got a 2nd opinion at a different office.

The doctors medical skills and knowledge are lacking. He could not get a correct diagnosis after a year of changing it regularly. It turned out the problem was a thyroid disorder only. If you are a female of any age (including kids) with any psych symptoms, have your thyroid checked. This includes antibodies against the thyroid and a thyroid ultrasound, if you have any thyroid symptoms (including tender neck occasionally). This doctor just puts you on non-needed anti-psychotics for no reason.

We were told he was a great MD so we didn't pay much attention to the low grade everyone was posting about him. To make sure the Dr knew of his past addiction issues we had his charts sent over for review before his first visit. Not sure he even read them because he gave him a subscription for an addictive drug on his first visit. After 9 months of no addictive drugs my son went right back into over medicating that very day. Needs drugs see him, trying to stay clean......go elsewhere.
