I would not go back to him if he were the last doctor on earth. Even after seeing him several times while in the hospital and going to his office three times, each time he saw me he said,” Nice to meet you” in that perfunctory way that people do. Once he asked me if anyone had ever told me I was pre-diabetic. He was looking directly at my chart which showed I was a type II diabetic on metformin. He wasn’t interested in me, I guess because I didn’t have an interesting problem; I found another gastroenterologist.

Dr. Scott Gioe performed a colonoscopy on me that was a wellness benefit completely covered by my insurance company. When I made the appointment I asked again to confirm that it was 100% covered and the clinic assured me that there would be no cost to me. A few weeks later I received a bill from the clinic for $75. When I called to determine what the bill was for I was told that it was for a "bedside visit" after my colonoscopy to give me the results. I was not even awake when he came by and he only told my friend that everything was fine and I needed more fiber. It took about 30 seconds to say this and leave. I contacted my insurance company and was told this was not a customary charge. I have left numerous messages for the clinic administrator to dispute this charge and she has yet to respond. They are now sending a notice threatening to turn me over to a collection agency. This clinic only cares about your money and is engaging in deceptive practices. Beware!

Best doctor ever! Dr. Gioe was the on call doctor years ago when I was rushed to the emergency room and had to have immediate surgery. 22 years later and he is still my doctor! Bedside manner is amazing, he genuinely cares for his patients, and he is always in the best mood. His staff is equally amazing.

Amazing staff and the doctor has a wonderful bedside manner. He actually listened to what I had going on. I was a new patient with an appt at 3pm. I was asked to come in at 2:30 for paperwork. Paperwork took 10 minutes. I was called back at 2:50 and seen by the doctor at 3:05. I have to have some additional work done at a seperate loacation and the doctor planned it all out during my visit with him and was very accomodating to my schedule. I highly recommend.

Dr. Gioe is patient. He takes time to listen to you, and never rushes. Dr. GIOE explains everything so you can understand. Your questions are always answered. He has a great bedside manner. Everyone who works in the office is very knowledgeable and very personable. They are always smiling, and they answer questions kindly. Even over the phone they are professionals. Dr. GIOE has been my doctor for years. I wouldn’t want to go to anyone else.

Had an appointment at 2:00pm; arrived at 1:30pm. Departed at 3:00pm without being seen, no explanation provided. May be a good doctor, but customer service/relations was unsatisfactory ??!
