A good dr, I’ve been using him for about ten years
I trust Dr.Ghere to tell me the truth. He is very knowledgeable and listens to his patients. I never feel hurried and always feel satisfied he’s answered and given thought to my concerns. If I need extensive testing I can depend on him to get it scheduled quickly if time is very important to the outcome. I’ve recommended him to my family members and they’ve become his patients as well.

One time patient first time declining further care
This doctors appointment made me feel stupid. I came in after an emergency visit with heart palps and high blood pressure and tests saying I had a possible blood clot. He sat down asked me a single question and then said it was all anxiety. Until I told the all knowing doctor I see my psychiatrist money and had previously seen her and that would not be the cause. It was just a lot of back and forth with him trying to belittle me. 0/10000 do not recommend if you value your health.

I left the appointment confused and disappointed. I could not get over how combative he was. And hung up on small details from the past that had nothing to do with my current concerns. Never ever going back. Not sure what St Francis allows this type of behavior.

I asked him to look at a bump on my back, because I have a history if skin cancer in my family. It was just an ordinary pimple. Instead of just saying, "It's nothing to worry about," he POPPED IT WITH HIS BARE HANDS AND WIPED THE CONTENTS ON MY SHIRT. That was when I decided I needed a new doctor!

Unless you have a common cold, he’s not a worth a minute of your time. I left crying at last and final appointment with him and it was over something basic. He made feel stupid for even being there. I had 3 family members seeing him as well, and they all switched dr’s. Two of those family members are seniors and he said that prostate exams and female exams at their age weren’t necessary! He seems like he didn’t even go to medical school. He actually asked me to explain a medical condition that is fairly common. His wait times are awful and nurse is very weird and rude.

I would prefer to leave a zero star review, but that is not possible using this interface. My prior experiences at Utica’s Park Clinic had been wonderful, up to my appointment with Dr. Ghere. He was dismissive from the moment he entered the room. It seemed that he used NONE of his medical degree to assist him. My diagnosis was prefaced with “well, you PROBABLY have...” and then “I guess you could probably....” to fix it.

I have been going to Dr. Ghere for quite a while. He discusses options with me and is not a huge "here, take a pill for that" kind of doctor. I appreciate that. He even tried cutting down some of my medications as I didn't want to be on a lot of pills.

I can’t recommend Dr. Ghere at all. A horrible experience. Have no confidence that he would honor my care wishes. He was so forceful and such a bully over little unimportant things that going through something serious or sensitive would be an absolute nightmare. He even told me a story of him forcing someone to do something he thought was right. It wasn’t saving their life heroics, it was control.
