Dr. Scott Donofrio, MD

Dr. Donofrio treated me for panic attacks and performance anxiety. His expertise and patience helped me address these issues. He got them to stop and I can now perform at work and present in front of people without what had been debilitating anxiety.

Dr. Donofrio is the consummate professional. I have collaborated with him on a number of cases and his input has been invaluable.

Kind, insightful doctor. I’ve seen many psychiatrists and I can say that Dr. Donofrio is an exceptionally good doctor who always goes the extra mile for me.

Both of my young daughters have seen Dr. Donofrio for very different reasons. He treats each one individually but with the same care and skill. I think what I appreciate most about Dr. Donofrio is willingness and ability to think broadly about courses of treatment, considering all options, including medication. Dr. Donofrio is disarmingly empathetic, a brilliant clinician, and profoundly competent. Due to my psychiatrist retiring, I had to find a new one and Dr. Donofrio came highly recommended. He's awesome. To the idiot below: a) public dicussion of your child's mental illness in a public venue and in such detail that she and her close friends can see is humilating for your kid; b) read the JAMA, etc. studies on causes for in-network vs out-of-network participation by psychiatrists.

My child has seen Dr Donofrio for a few months now and it has been a complete waste. She has been hospitalized twice for depression a few months apart and Dr Donofrio not only finds that appropriate (look at the statistics regarding adolescent hospitalization to understand this statement) but he is completely unable to treat her in an effective manner. He is also one of the only psychiatrist that does not recommend therapy expect done by himself (interestingly he does not accept insurance...) wh

If you’re actually looking to get to the root of your struggles and concerns, in a safe place, Dr. Donofrio is the man! He has helped my entire family with our communication skills and helped us grow stronger as a unit! Very greatful to have found him!

Dr Donofrio is incredibly kind and thoughtful. He spends as much time as is needed to explain his rational for the plan of care to make sure you are on the same page.
