Dr. Scott Bissell, MD

I received expert care for a torn meniscus in my left knee from Dr. Bissel and his team. He explained the process to me in detail and I knew exactly what to expect before and after my surgery. Happy to report that my knee is pain free and back to 100% mobility. Thanks again for helping me Doc!!

I had a left knee arthroscopy performed to my left knee. My ACL was replaced with a graft from my patellar tendon and both of my menisci needed repair. Dr. Bissell was extremely thorough throughout the entire process and I had my surgery about 7 weeks after my initial injury. The surgery went very well and wasn't a bad experience as I thought it would be. The recovery was difficult but almost pain free (physical therapy notwithstanding). I'm now almost back to work after about 4 months, which is quicker than I could have hoped to be out. All in all, if I ever need any orthopedic care, I will definitely coming back to Dr. Bissell.

Competent, caring and effective. Dr. Bissell is an excellent physician. I have had all of my questions answered and his predictions concerning my recovery from a large rotator cuff rupture have been spot on.

I had a complete rupture of the right shoulder rotator cuff. Pretty much everything about the procedure and the recovery process has gone as predicted by Dr. Bissell and PA James Vreeland. In addition Madelyn Filomeno a physical therapist at Select Physical Therapy has been a great help with my recovery as she is just the right balance of being careful but firm in how she conducts my therapy. At this juncture I am gaining in range of motion steadily and things like showering and dressing for work have become close to normal.

Great Doctor. He listens to your concerns and tells you what to expect during and after the process. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Bissell has all the qualities of a 5 star care giver, he is friendly and personable, he listens, he is very thorough, he uses a very solid algorithm to address issues, he is humble, and he is very receptive to questions. Dr Bissell is also an excellent surgeon. He did an excellent job piecing together my daughter’s shattered collar bone. I highly recommend Dr Bissell

Dr Bissell is nice but his receptionist is rude. Was 2 minutes late after driving there for 45 minutes and she told me I had to reschedule!! Then I told her I needed copies of my last X-ray which I told them when I made the appointment. After signing the paperwork for MY records she told me I’d have to wait!! Patients were coming in and out! I had a four year old with me who isn’t going to sit still. Waited as long as I could then left. Never got my records! I live 45 minutes away so I’ll never go there again!! That girl should be fired. Having a miserable receptionist to great people isn’t good.

Dr BISSELL is the best. He really cares about his patients and responds quickly to relieve any pain that I’ve had. He’s honestly is beyond reproach, he explains things clearly so the patient understands the problem and the treatment that would be suggested. I love Dr Bissell I wish he had an office in Florida as well as here.

Dr. Bissell is an Orthopedic who listens to his patients which results in a very positive experience. He is very competent in his field. One aspect I really like about him is he does not rush to surgery. I recommend him totally!
