Hernia Repair
Dr. Scott Angell did hernia repair for my 7 year old. We met him few weeks before the surgery and he answered all our questions. We sent him email post our meeting via pamf online and he answered within 24 hrs. Our overall experience was good. The bad reviews here did concern us before the surgery but we had an overall good experience with him.

Stay away from this doctor. I have been having overactive bladder problems for a long time and went to see this guy (can't call him doctor). He was so dismissive the whole time like i came in a bothered him. He did nothing and rushed me out in 10 minutes. As after visit summary he cut and paste a bunch of stuff that you can find on Google. And yes, here is the best part, he suggested I don't drink water if I have to go pee a lot. I have high regards for PAMF to hire high quality physicians, but I think this one slipped past through for some reason.

The textbook definition of God Complex
This doctor has the biggest God Complex I have ever seen in a doctor. Completely refuses to listen to his patient, doesn't care. He actually misdiagnosed me as he didn't even run any sort of test, and sent me home with pain killers which have the side effect of thinning the blood. Went to see another doctor: I had internal bleeding, for which obviously blood thinners can be very problematic.

Open Simple Prostatectomy
Went into urinary retention and was assigned to Dr. Angell out of the ER. He recommended an open simple prostatectomy. It took two months to get an open time for the surgery. He is a very busy Dr. Had a catheter in the whole time. Surgery went well and had the catheter removed 14 days after the surgery. Biopsy showed grade 1 prostate cancer which we now monitor every 6 months. Bed side manner is a little brisk, but he is very responsive to email inquires. I trust him.

Dismissive
I went to Dr. Scott Angel for an urinary incontinence. He ruled out cancer, but was very dismissive about the issue. He asked me to repeat after him that it was all in my head. It took me days to gather the courage to advocate for myself and follow up.

Highly Unprofessional
I had an appointment with Dr Angell this afternoon. I arrived 8 minutes late. He refused to see me. He sent his nurse out to inform me. The nurse claimed that “Dr Angell had a tight schedule and asked for my appointment to be rescheduled.” They never bothered to call me earlier in the day before I drove a long distance to get to PAMF facility in Mountain View. It is atrocious, given that the same facility can make patients wait for long periods past their appointment time. Sorely disappointed in this so called “health care provider.”

No pain management in place.....major surgery ibuprofen? Post operative visit, primary Dr. thought I had an infection from the davinci machine. He didn't want to look at it...you are here it will pass. GOD syndrome to the max.....don't trust him please. Do your research on him before .....I didn't. Still in pain 2 years later seeking help from a pain management specialist at another unaffiliated Dr.
