If you want a doctor who actually cares about you and your health and your life? Don't bother. A little background: I am a mother of 3 kids under 6. Life is a bit hectic as you can imagine however I try to be as respectful as possible. During my first visit with Dr. Bey, he was attentive and kind and listened to me for over an hour. I thought, wow this guy is awesome! I have found my guy! During my second visit, he didn't even look at me. Not. Once. He looked at his computer, cut me off, and sent me out of his office with an increased rx, which I found out later was not only the max dosage of 2 different medicines but was far too much for me. I chalked it up to him just being busy. For my third visit, I got a call about an hour before that my son had broken his arm at school. I called and let them know that I had to take him to the hospital. They were understanding and fine and rescheduled for a week later. The following week, we woke up and my youngest (18 months) had a fever. I calle

Dr. Bay is a very kind and compassionate doctor. I had my reservations about seeing a psych. He has made the experience a breeze. As far as the front office, they have been nothing but very friendly and professional. My observation of interactions with other patients have been the same.

Dr. Bay is a good psychiatrist, but his front office staff is completely awful. There is a hag up front named Joan who is the rudest person you'll probably meet in your lifetime. I imagine the practice would have twice as many patients without her. Honestly the front staff is so bad, that I would consider going elsewhere. Usually the front office isn't a dealbreaker, but this is a small practice and this lady makes even the simplest tasks into a nightmare. Also not a great thing to deal with at a psychiatrist's office.

Unfortunately, I never made it to my appointment. I called the office to inquire about a video conference appointment. The very RUDE and COMBATIVE office personnel told me that Dr. Bay will only see established patients on conference call. When I explained that due to the Corona virus, I did not feel comfortable going in to the office. She said, "Well You knew about the Corona Virus, you should have cancelled yesterday. " BE WARNED: IF YOU CANCEL YOUR NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENT WITH DR. BAY ON THE SAME DAY, HE WILL NEVER SEE YOU. That is a direct quote from the office staff.

The front office is flat out rude and combative. No surprise to see the other horrible reviews that had a similar experience. Kind of ironic they work at a shrink's office.

After more than TEN YEARS as a patient of Dr. Bay, I had a concern about one incident involving his office staff. Because of my extremely conflict-adverse personality, it was not easy for me to bring up my concern to Dr. Bay, but I did (politely). I was shocked with his utterly dismissive attitude toward my concerns. His mask really came off. I walked out in the middle of my visit and would NEVER go back.

Office staff not helpful. Office staff rude. Continued to talk over me when I was talking. Would not release my records without doctor looking through them. Charged $10 for records copy. Saw Dr Bay for 3 years but they can not give me the courtesy of looking through and copying my records in 24 hours?? Psychiatrists are a dime/dozen. Find another doctor.

In my opinion it seems the biggest problem here is the woman in the front office, Joan, who is rude, close minded and condescending. I had written down an appointment on my calendar for the wrong day and within 36 hours I received a bill for $115 for a missed appointment which I immediately paid along with a note saying perhaps a reminder call should be considered. She sent my note back with a snarky comment. Where is the professionalism here? Save yourself the aggravation.

I had a unique situation where the doctor was aware I spent the majority of my time overseas. I was shocked to find out that he dropped me as a patient because of a $35 unpaid bill. When the bill was sent to an old address (which I was never asked to update) and he knew I had been overseas. Even when I promptly settled the bill, he refused to continue to see me as a patient. His staff was always very kurt and inflexible when I called. Almost like I was bothering them. Look for another Dr.

I have GAD and an autoimmune disorder. Phone calls, especially to doctors, causes me pretty severe anxiety, so my wonderful husband helps by scheduling these for me, filling out paperwork, etc. Until today, that had never been a problem. He's scheduled for me with doctors of all stripes, but not until Dr. Bay did they refuse to help me if I wouldn't call them myself. Even after my husband explained that yes, something prevented me, it was GAD, they still refused.

I have seen Dr. Bay for years for bi-polar which had gone untreated for decades. Dr. Bay was excellent at diagnosing my condition, and I liked how he did not simply hand me a pill and say, see you in a month. He worked with me to find a medication that was the best fit for my needs. Plus, he worked with my therapist to ensure I was receiving treatment that complimented what he was doing. If you want a partner in your mental health care, Dr. Bay is the best choice.

I have seen Dr. Bay for several years now and due to his excellence, I have been stabilized for many years. He is kind, compassionate, and is caring toward his patients. He makes sure you get the right help, which for me did not include being prescribed a ton of medicine like other doctors have tried. And when my insurance company wouldn't approve the medicine that had stabilized me, he fought for me. And his office staff,in particular Joan, is a ray of sunshine.
